Looks sweet, any problems? Vibrations and what not, I see the stock wheels rubbed the sway bar links a little :P

I think in the future some 33" BFG AT's are in order  Let's wheel it, I wanna see it flex and break something!

Yep Mike the rub on the sway bar disconnects was fron the stocks wheels. Not a problem anymore with the new wheels, can turn full left/right...no rubbing.

32" Tires on it now, kit says max 33", so for now it's ok.

The vibration is gone, the 1st/2nd gear vibration at high RPM was from me not lowering the transfer case...all done now, all aligned, got the track bar in this afternoon.

I'm gonna be getting a track bar this week to finally get rid of my wobble, since I will need one anyways for the 3.5" RE kit I'm going to get when I sell my toy, I might as well have correct alignment on the cheap lift

Various wrenches & torx bits to remove cage that Sam at Samco advised me not to attempt - $88.00. Breaking a T-45 Torx on the floor bolt - priceless:

You were right, should have left it alone. Give me an A+ for effort.

It is being painted while it remains IN the vehicle:

Some nice looking welds there, looks good. Taking the paint down to bare metal I can tell you from experience that it is a waste of time  Sand the paint, smooth down the nicks and scratches wipe with Xylene and hit it with some Hammered Rustoleum.

Reno Computer Repair
August 3rd, 2007, 09:55 AM
The down to the metal was an concentration of "small" accidents that turned a easy project into a complete hard labor missing pizza night pain.

I couldn't find the red scotch brite pads at Home Depot for scuffing, so I bought the drill attached paint remover pad. After quite a few spots dug in too deep :gapteeth: & a test coat of primer showed it was gonna look funky I decided to just clean it all off.

So what was planned to take a couple hours has now comsumed 8 hours, plus I still have at least 2 more hours left of sanding!

That was the second hitch on this project, the first was trying to take the cage out.

Sam at Samco had warned me:nono::nono::nono:
But I am such a pro at breaking tools I decided to try anyway. Chalk up one T-45 Torx bit to the long list of things I have broken while working on Jeeps.

From now on If Sam tells me a tip I will listen.

Its nice, but wear and tear is all ready making it scuff to the metal. I didnt get a thick enough coat on it. So will let it roll till winter and mess with it again as my damn cage is getting too heavy to lift in and out.
