so I've got all this music in the "My Music" folder, sorted into various subfolders, etc. What I would like, is a way to export all of it into a text file, so basically it would look like

Aerosmith - Livin' on the Edge
Alice in Chains - Rain When I Die

etc. etc.
How do I do this? It's for about 15,000 songs, so typing it by hand is out of the question

If you have iTunes I believe you can click print playlist or export

iTunes is the easiest, but if you want to be a nerd here's a bash script to do it on the command line :D

find ~/music/ -iname "*.mp3" -print >> ~/Desktop/playlist.m3u

assuming your music is in [home]/music/ ...and you're running linux/mac/bsd :)

</3 iTunes, so that's not an option

here:

@echo off
dir /o:n /b *.mp3 > Playlist.m3u

make a .bat containing that and run it in whatever directory your music lives

that'll give you a file list anyway
