I have a bunch of these 160lb beasts at work that I need to get rid of. I usually pile them outside on a pallet and the meth fairies come and take them off for recycling. This bunch actually still work though, so I thought I'd give you guys first crack.

The good:
Free working 60" TV!

The bad:
Scratched up bezels, no speakers, no remote, no table stands. You need to be able to pick it up and figure out how to mount and operate this thing. Nothing but a display and a power cord.

Chris @250-8074.;)

Yes, this would work as a big ass computer monitor!

What connection(s) do they support? Off the top of my head I think they have a VGA, analog rgb via 15pin, dvi, component, composite, svideo. Think that's it. I'll post pics tomorrow.

Oh, speaker outputs as well as rs232 for you control.

What are you guys going to do with them? Their 160 pounds. I'm not trying to stop Chris from getting rid of them and I do like to see them repurposed but,160 pounds. No stand for them, are you going to mount them to the wall? Maybe in the garage? Can you buy a bracket for them? Good luck guys, please let me know where they end up, I'm just curious.

Jiggerman
November 29th, 2014, 03:14 PM
Hang on the wall in the garage. Brackets for these are not hard to find. They run about $120-140. Peerless makes one that'll hold up to 350 pounds

Some people have actual skills and can actually make things for themselves....others have to spend a fortune for someone else to make shit for them.

No shit.... Free 60" TV and people still find a reason to be negative. I bet if someone gave away free $100 bills, someone else would bitch that it's not five $20's instead.

I'm not really a drinker so.... you guys could make a $5 donation to BRC or make it out to a clean up if you can. Or, just get them the hell outta my way:)

It looks like it kinda sputtered out at 12 takers so I can start getting them out of my shop starting tomorrow. Tues/Wed this week are the only days that really work for me this week. I'll keep you guys posted about next week.

Text is best for me, shoot me times when you guys would like to come get these things and I'll give you directions. Chris@775-250-8074

Oh, yeah... casters. I forgot casters. That way I can spin it to the wall when I'm not watching it. Now, who's got a Lazy Boy recliner they want to get rid of? Put that, a refrigerator and porta-potty in the man cave and my wife won't have to wonder where I am... ever. :P

If you have a universal remote, try setting the code on it and using it to power on the monitor. The code that worked on mine is 11457; maybe a remote will work even if the mounted power button is toast.

Play around in the settings, sometimes we lock out the buttons so that the general public can't mess with them. I can't remember if the Pioneers have this function or not:cool:

Mine's up, had to use component cables as the HDMI on the Charter box is probably a newer format that the monitor doesn't handle. Gotta like that picture!

I'm thinking about having legs welded out of square tubing to make a table stand. A little cleaner than 2X4's...
