Wow, that is news. Just when you start to build a relationship with someone at the Forest Service you have to start all over. I hope his replacement is friendly to OHV use!!!

The new Acting District Ranger will be Dave Marlow, from the Tahoe Basin Management Unit. I am meeting him Friday 10/5. Have had several emails and he seems OK, but I don't really know if he's going to be OHV friendly. I have sent him the presentation Larry Anderson and I put together about the volunteer time and $ Hills Angels and R4x4 the two clubs have donated to the FS. Sent same to forest supervisor and deputy supervisor, received very positive responses from both. May have helped in reopening HLT.
