So what are the thoughts on trail improvements? If I clear away over growth to keep people on the trail is there someone I should ask or tell? I'm not thinking of paving stuff just doing things like cutting back over growth so new spur trails don't get made? If shaving back some tree limbs keeps the tree from being injured every time someone comes through then I would think this would be better for the tree as well?
Bronco is a trail where some hedge trimming would help keep people on track as an example. And if this was to be done would there be others that would like to come along and help?

I'd be happy to go along and lend a hand although I may need to ride up with someone. Hopefully by the time something gets organized JP will have his TJ out of the shop. I would definitely be able to score a ride with him.

If it's BLM land let BLM know. For 1 they will usually say yes and it's good to have them know you are out performing trail "maintenance" and not vandilizing it. 2nd it helps to keep Us in a good eye with BLM.
Take into account past events, Peavine clenaups, Hunter lake trail maintenance, Dutch Louie flat log gaurds, Moonrocks cleanup, etc....

I was under the impression that most/all of Bronco is private property and not BLM. If that's the case, I wouldn't go in there choppin' down bushes and moving stuff around without the landowner's permission.

As mentioned, this needs to be done with permission of whomever the land belongs to, otherwise you look like a vigilante. Also, the Forest Service and BLM will likely want to log hours for volunteer labor as it helps them track usage and secure future funding.
