Define "burned area"

Is it just the road straight through that's open and everything else is closed?

Is there an email list I can get onto for this type of stuff or is this just from a friend?

I have been working for 5 weeks to get the HLT reopened. I have been corresponding with the Forest Service via phone calls, letters and emails. I am the Hills Angels 4x4 club liaison to FS. Since Reno 4x4 doesn't have anyone doing this, I keep R4x4 advised.

The burned area is obvious - it's all black with ashes, burned trees and shrubs. Moss Lake area is closed as is the land west and north of Moss Lake. Use common sense when you're up there.

you can log onto the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest website, or the Carson Ranger District. I usually enter these in the Google search box, then click on the website I want when it comes up on Google. Once you get there, you can navigate around - on the Carson RD site, you can scroll down and click on Plans and Projects, among other topics. Phil
