planning a trip to knot creek this weekend and i was wondering what the fishings been like any one been up there in the past month or so, any fly tips:D

If it's a cold water creek, fish small bead or prince nymphys in the heat of the day. Watch the hatches, they're typically some sort of blue / tan mayfly or caddis.
Smaller the fly, the better. If you know there's some big ones in there, try luring them out with a small to medium sized wooly bugger fished in a variety of retrieves. I've found a jerky, panicked retrieve works well for browns on the truckee.

its actualy a small resvior its the way i take in i think its a hundred miles or so outa winnamuka or i think u can get there across the black rock

Good call Kairo! I have a few hard to thread size 22 zebra midges. 7x with 22 hook, can take 15 minutes on a cloudy day :)

give us a report when you get back. I can't make up my mind for the weekend and the weather coming in, Lahontan or Frenchmans....
