Meadow Lake. I will be wheelin/deer hunting up there. Probably drop in from the top. Do some camping, but it might be raining or snowing there. Just checked the weather.

With any luck I'll get my rear cross member welded up, give everything a coat of black enamel and do a final install on my drive train. If time allows I'll do the cutting on my tranny hump for the new shifters and start re-installing the seats, gas tank etc. Maybe throw a couple more coats of Krylon on the hood, I figure if it looks good from the drivers seat I'll be happy.:woot:

Pretty hard to get a decent tag anywhere these days in CA or NV. The new point system and lotterys dont work like there supposed to. The D zone is meadow lake and its not the best hunting such as over in the Sierra Valley where you get the big Nevada Mule deer. Up there you get the small Black Tail deer and if your lucky you might get a cross bread btwn mule and black tail. My neighbor happened to get one. Last weekend a friend got a huge
5x4 about 26 inch spread. Two yrs ago my dad got a monster 4 point.

So if anybody wants to go up to Meadow Lake and go wheelin and drop in from the top on sat let me know.

Hey kim I like the idea but I'm doin 72 virginians lift on saturday night :( We should leave later and get home at like 1-2 am :)

May be up for a "Short" run saturday mid morning.

no I didn't go play with the hardcore boys, I speant most of the day playing tow truck driver and confirming I'll never work at a body shop. Had to pull the front end back out of a crushed 89 civic today :) Amazingly the radiator doesn't leak one drop and the hood still latches :)

Man I want to hunt the Modoc X areas, seen some beasts up there. I to have become disillusioned with the points and draw system. No tags in Nevada the last 2 years, bonus points crack me up. I was fortunate enough this year to draw Montana for bull elk and a whitetail tag. I'll be leaving in a couple weeks.
