Here's what I did over the Christmas holiday. Turned a cheap POS into a masterpiece and made a plain jane 1911 into something super special.

Looks great! What kind of finish is on the 1911? It looks good with the coin grips.

The guy that owns the gun got them in Reno at a coin shop. Don't know which one but you can get them on line for $1.50 - $3.00.
I just use my engraving machine to spot face and chamfer the grip panels.
