They dont have the greatest reputation for accuracy but a cool gun anyway. The world record is currently held by a canadian who was using a Mcbros type 50.

They play hell on frozen turkeys!

Well my neighbor behind me has one and it sets the desert on fire so we have a hard time figuring out when to shoot it. It's always so dry. Pull the trigger and run out and stomp the fire out.:D

As cool as the Barrett is on paper, it doesn't live up to the hype. I know, I have several hundred rounds through one.

The longest confirmed sniper kill in the GWOT is just over 1500 meters with a .300 WinMag, :skull: not a .50 (the Battle for Fallujah in '04).

Not trying to rain on anyone's parade, just providing the facts.

.408 Cheytac. Bye Bye .50

Get a gun that comes with a computer to help calculate your shot with the trajectory of the earth!

It looks like the next great thing is going to be the cheytac necked down to 375. Apparently the ballistics are even better than the 408.

I think the fifty will do me for now I cant hardly see a 1000 yards as it is.
