For me I think it is going to be a 9mm AR of some sort. Cant find affordable 223 anywhere so I figure 9mm would be fun

The sad thing is I have a lot of guns I dont ever shoot. Doesnt stop me from getting more.

A compound bow is not a gun. Even though I have no doubt you can shoot it better than I can most rifles it is still not a gun:D

Carry on

so far i've got an XD45 tactical, a Benelli NOVA 12, a MAK-90, and a Savage 10FCP-HS .308.

i can easily tell you what i need; a nice 1911, an AR, an M14, and i'd really like to build another rifle.......probably a .338 Lapua (there's just something to be said about being able to hit something at a mile out :D)

now what's really hard is picking which one comes first

I wanted a Charles Daly 410 O/U but Charles Daly doesn't make O/Us anymore...they still make SXSs...go figure. So maybe a Mossberg Silver Reserve 410 O/U. I really like the CZ and Berettas but kind of choke on the prices.

I'd like to get an AR variant of some kind but not necessary. My AK and Hi Point carbine do me just fine.

I've got a Dillion 650 reloading press on order, so I can't buy any more guns for a bit. However that will allow me to shoot the ones I have more.

Some things I've been eyeing:
- That new Ruger Charger 10/22 pistol
- Saiga 12ga auto
- Robinson XCR
- .357 lever action to go with the revolver for full on retro style
- XD.45 Tactical
- CZ TS pistol so I can move into IPSC Limited class

I've also been considering getting a Short Barrel Rifle tax stamp for one of my ARs.

I would like a 1911 or a XD-45 Compact. I also need to pick up a .22 rifle and another high caliber rifle.

I have a few debts and other issues to settle first, though.

So I have wanted one of these since a friend showed me about 15 years ago.

Picked it up last night, got the Semi-Auto version, and will pick up the pump later this year if it turns out to be a good shotgun. Now I just need to get a regular long barrel for it to shoot trap/skeet.

you just bought the spendy semi-auto m2, but IF it's good you might buy the cheap nova pump? odd thinking IMO.

you definately won't be disappointed with a benelli, but i don't think the m2 was designed for trap ;). nice gun BTW.

I've got my Stainless Kimber TLE/RL 1911 (love it), my 30-06, my M4 and my SMG (work issued:D) I'm thinking about getting a Glock either 26 or 36. I need a back-up/off duty gun and I like the reliability and ease of the Glock. I carried a 19 when I first got hired and it was ok but nothing like my Caddy of a 1911.

I would love to get a 27 but at work we can't carry a .40 cal for duty. We can carry whatever we want as a backup though. The only thing is when I go to qualify with it or shoot it at all, I'll have to buy my own ammo for it. But if I go with the 26 (9mm) or the 36 (slimline .45) work will pay for my ammo.

A guy I work with is selling his almost new 36 for $400. I think I'm going to jump on it. He's selling it because he'd liquidating some of his guns. He also has a 30 for sale $400 also. But I like the slimline 36.

Nice benelli. You dont have to have the long barrel to shoot trap, it just makes it a little easier. It should be pretty easy to find a longer barrel they made a lot of 26 and 28 inch guns

Which model pump are you looking at. M3 or Nova. I have seen a few novas with problems including one that snapped right through the receiver. I would stick to a good old Rem 870 or Mossberg 500/590 for a pump.

Do you know how much the 36 would cost new from a LE dealer? I know they werent much more than 400 if I remember right. I didnt like my 30 much but I never got to shoot a 36.

I've seen all kinds of shotguns on the the trap range and skeet field but have never seen one like yours out there HardBody. Should be interesting. Just make sure the mild sporting loads will cycle the action.

Be warned though...some clubs won't even allow SD shotguns. Maybe they scare the hoity toities.:D

;)I have two 870's now, one is short barrel, the other is long for trap. I like them both, but want to explore other shotguns. The pump action I was checking might be the M3, the pump on it was wider at the base and skinny at the top - is that the M3?

As far as the gun club rules on semi-auto, maybe Kairo can chime in & educate me? ;)

I have been checking out the Benelli website about the other barrels, and it looks like I may be in a bind, cannot see any that have the riser on the end of the barrel to use the Ghost Ring sight with.....damn.

Did see the tube extenders at the store for $45.00, so that will be the next purchase. Think they said it give three more rounds to the capacity.

Then online I found extended tube on steroids $79.99- 8 shot extension + 4 stock & Need a 28" barrel.:smokin::smokin::smokin:

Even with my FFL connections and dealer hookups for LEO its more then $500 new. He also has a 3lb trigger instead of the 5.5lb extra mags and a fobus holster for it. It only has a few hundred rounds through it. I like the slimline grip, it fits my hand better then the 30. One of the reasons I love my Kimber so much is the grip is amazing and fits my hand perfect. The single stack mags just fit me better. Which the 36 has. The 30 is still a double stack and actually the 21 mags will fit in the 30 as well.
If I carried a 21 I'd consider the 30 just for the fact that if I needed to use the mags on my duty belt I could. Since I carry a 1911 it doesn't matter. The single stack 6 round mag of the 36 should be fine. And the 3lb trigger makes a huge difference too.

G-36 is awesome! Of course I like the G-30 too... uh and of course my beloved G-21...oh hell I like Glock. Of course I like 1911s too...so elegant and easy to handle...then again some a of the Rugers ain't bad to handle either....oh and my carry gun is a Makarov and it rocks. Oh well we could go on and on and on and on. To each his own.... like I don't understand why anyone would pay big bucks for a HD shotgun, unless you're a cop or going to fight a war, with extended mag and lights and other toys when the best HD gun is a little SxS 12ga 20 inch coach gun loaded with 2-3/4 #00 buck. In a house you're not going to get off more than two anyway and if you hit the BG with one he's down and if you miss with both he's gone.

Like I said to each his own.

If you love your 1911 I'm surprised you want another Glock since they have drastically different grips. Whenever I pick up a glock I naturally point it high and have to adjust. Not something I'd want in a defensive gun. Also are you concerned about the lighter trigger? Many consider the 3lb trigger in a glock to be 'range use only'.

If you like the thinner grips and want single stack, you might consider the Sig 225. There are a ton of German police trade ins out there right now for cheap.

Why dont you just get a small 1911 so you can use your duty mags? Para, colt, kimber all make little 3" guns.
Kimber make a officer size frame with a commander size slide. Perfect size for a carry gun

I like the TLR1 lights. I have a Kimber desert warrior and a springfield TRP operator that I use the light on.

I am not using the Benell as a HD shotgun, it is just for target/trap/skeet. No flashlights/laser or carry sling - no into that equipment. The 870 short barrel I have is a slug gun, for HD I have a Thompson :D - just kidding.

I am thinking about getting an old school traditional muzzleloader because I love the in-line I have and am now hooked on muzzy's.

Something to add to my varmit, preditor, and big game hunts... which would be in addition to the 3 I use below. (1) .22, (2) Remington Genisis .50 cal. muzzleloader, (3) Remington 700 (30-06).

Back in Ohio, I used to shoota Ruger 22 cal. semi-auto with a ten round clip. Had a decent scope on it too. Alot of fun and you can squeeze a few rounds off into a soybean eating ground hog. Good times, there. Wouldn't mind getting another. Maybe even a little larger caliber.

I like my 22/45 with the tactical solutions upper on it but I really like the ability to use all of my high caps that I have for my 10/22

I was going to build one too, but I dont think you could do it for the same money. Before the charger came around building was a lot cheaper than a volquartsen or magnum research but I think it would be hard to build one for less than 275-300
