Yote's this weekend

Well, Im 99.95% sure Im heading out to bedell flats and/or somewhere else. Anyone up for some yote hunting this weekend? Saturday? Let me know..

i plan on going monday ! wish i could on sat . also usually to much going on in bedell flats during the day . dont get me wrong there are some dogs there. Just to many people shooting and riding mx during the day , especially the weekend. good luck

It also depends on how far north you head, theres a few trails they dirtbikes stay off of.. IE.. rocky :-P Where are you heading to on monday.. I might be free

what gun are you using?
I use my rem. 223 bolt action. mainly use manual hand calls (mouth calls)
not against mechanical calls but so much more rewarding when you call them in yourself!

Im shooting a Savage Model 10 chambered in beautiful .22-250 with a 3-9x40 scope. Nothing special, but shoots tacks. I use an e-caller. Homebrew but it works just the same.

bedell flats is north of antelope valley and north of moonrocks...

no calls......went to get and e-caller tonight and came home with a $100 folding knife :scratch:

as for a gun, i've got and AK and a .45. that'll be good 'nuff, eh? :D lol.....i'll bring the .308. see you guys tomorrow...

We spent the day traveling from spot to spot, calling for 20 minutes, and moving. Towards the end we just said to hell with it and shot soda cans at 350 yards.

Beautiful day out there. Did some wheelin, shooting, and BSing. Not a bad time

i am still thinkin of goin out monday near spanish springs. A little area i know, and have had success @. Shooting a Remington 700 .223 w/ nikon 3-9x40 with bipod. i've got manual calls and a fox pro too! if anyone else if off monday let me know.

Before a storm can be good also , something to do with pressure systems.

Went out myself about a week 1/2 ago. It was before work, so I only had about 30 minutes to hunt..... and my success was zero.

But here are some pics of my set-up, and an area where the yotes were trying to dig up some varmints from their holes the night before I arrived.

dude that looks like a decent spot.. tons of sign. I was going to go out tomorrow, but theres no WAY my truck is going to make it 60 miles north of pyramid tomorrow. Oh well, I guess one more week and ill go.

ive taken sevral dogs this year right here in cold springs,after a snowfall or during is the best.most of the time there are 4-6 dogs at ounce in this one spot.im going first thing in the am.
