SRT-6 Tow Rig

Heres a pic of the new tow rig. I picked up this 07 Dodge this summer to get the last of the 5.9 Cummins motors. 20+ MPG at 75 mph is hard to beat. Intake, exhaust, Smarty programmer, Fabtech 4.5 with bilstiens, 35" KM2s on 20x10 Rockstars. :D

i'm sure he does. i'm getting about the same out of my truck........fuel mileage increased for me after going to 35's from 30's.

If I keep it below 60 I can get 23+, but that rarely happens. :D

they just released the PoD for 3rd gen Smarty's. i wish my smarty could do what you 3rd gen guys' smartys can do :(

The diesels are geared so low and have so much torque this makes perfect sense to me that a lower rpm higher cruising speed will increase your mileage.

Long live the 5.9. I've got a 99 Ram 24 valve with the 6 speed and its been the best vehicle I've ever owned. Unfortunately I am eyeing a 08 megacab, but the 6.7 (and $$$) is holding me back.

Maybe I'll just get a smarty for the 99 and call it good.

I've got a good connection with Industrial Injection, but I would be willing to buy locally. I love my truck and if I can avoid it, will never own a gasser again. Heres my truck, for now.

I still need to get it to see you to get the pipe for my muffler deleate one of these days. I'll get one long piece and take out the short one I put in when I took the cat out. It will look cleaner that way.

Thats good to hear that you're getting that kind of mileage. I can still pul about 21mpg with mine even with the twins and sticks and stuff, but all of my friends with the common rail engines are getting about 18 at best, and usually around 15-16. Could just be the way they drive I guess.

Diesel is going down fast........get a truck now while folks are still "scaired" of fuel prices...
