New to the area.

Hi im pretty new. Both to reno, and reno4x4. I actually am down in fallon. Anyways i use to fish alot back when i lived in washington state. Never went hunting before. Would love to get into that. So basically im looking for some one that can show me the roaps or help me find my way to getting started as well as like where to go fishing, what time of year is best etc. Thanks.

Have heard the cooling ponds off 95a are pretty good down by Fort Churchill state park for fishing. Don't eat the fish from Lahontan (if there are any left). For hunting, don't know...need the same advice! :gapteeth:

I would just keep a eye out on the many different sections on this board to attend events that suit you need's. :thumbsup:

Check out and read up on NDOW.org for all hunting and fishing requirements and how and what tags to apply for. There are info sections on every hunting unit in the state on there about every specific game population and facts that should help out a guy new to the area.
