Stocker friendly run. Meet at 7-11 on East Lake Blvd in Washoe Valley at 9am.

There is a catch to this run:
There will be a $5 minimum "entry fee". All proceeds will go to Luke and Todd. Just imagine how much we can raise if we have another group like this:

Deadman's Loop is similar. If there's more than 40 rigs, we'll spit between Deadman's and Jumbo then meet up at the Halfway location (off road parking lot :D)

im in pretty much a stock ram but your more then welcome to ride with me. Am always more then willing to have a extra bodie. Got 5 extra seats as my wife wont be going might be bringing up a friend or two as well. plus i always have the bed where i can sit people. dont think thatd be to comfortable though.

How far are you planning on going up Jumbo? Are you running all the way to VC or what? I would love to go but we got a babysitter this weekend so we could go wheelin, and we would have to take the little guy with us on the 22nd.
PS Are you guys serious about your wives/gfriends crying and not wanting to go? I have my own rig, I have damn near rolled it and I still havent cried!:smokin:

The plan is to run Jumbo up to the "halfway" location (big ass "parking lot" in the picture). If the weather is good, we'll be having lunch there.
From that point, if anyone needs to take off, they can go home via VC.
If anyone wants to wheel some more, we'll go to Mt Davison or maybe the Flats.

I've sent this our to all our our club members and other 4x4 clubs on our club distribution email list. I will put this on our event calender. What trails are you planning on running? My family and I want to come. I will probably take my 2000 F250 with 7" lift and 37's. No lockers. I have my 51 willys with 3/4 ton axles, 39's but the entire family won't fit.

If you have an idea of the trails we'll be running let me know. Maybe it'll be a free fer all and just pay $5 to go somewhere?

i had same problem with mine. But when i got it jumped it was able to start and seems to be working now.

Tore up a wheel. Usine spare wheel with AT tire. need to get a new wheel and tire, or i may just drive up for the photo then ride with my friend or find some good spots and video tape you all. well see.

I might end up having to back out of this. When I left work for lunch today I had some moron hit me then leave. There was no damage to my truck thats to the hitch but my body is feeling it for sure. And he didnt even stop! Remsa was behind me & got his plate #. I will know for sure by friday :(

I had the same problem w/my 89 XJ w/the 4.0L engine ... turned out it was the crank sensor.

ive got 4 more rigs going hopefully this trail dosent get to backed up with so many rigs?

I actually have a plan for that (a first!).
We won't be hitting the trail as one big group. I'll send the 1st 15 or so with a trail leader. Then wait for 15-30 minutes and send out another group. I'll lead the last group.
Then we'll get to the 1/2 way point, whip out the grub and BBQ's, and have a good time.

Does anybody have any idea how long this run will take? Im in for the whole trip, but Im thinking about taking the baby and wife. She is concerned the baby wont be able to handle a full day.

Shouldn't take more than an hour to an hour and a half from the start of Jumbo to the 1/2 way spot. Then, it's another 20 minutes to VC from there.

I wonder how long we should add for lunch because I assume it will be on the trail? Another thought is I may be delayed depending on what group I get sent with. If I'm in the last group id probably want to add a couple hours...

hey all,

Don't foget about the fund raiser for the two four wheeling families in Reno who are going through a living hell.

Meeting at the 7-11 on East Lake Blvd at 9AM. For those who don't know that road runs on the East side of lake washoe rather then the West like 395. They say it's giong to be stock 4x4 wheeling. I'm taking my Ford 250!

It's $5 and for a good cause. I have no clue where the runs are, if they're guided or anything. I would imagine they may be heading up Jumbo grade towards Virginia City.

My family and I are giong but don't know if we'll be there right at 9AM.

Call them and give them a heads up that a ton of rigs will be there and if they are smart they will see it as an opportunity for some sales. Tell them to brew lots of coffee and such and that it is a fundraiser for a good cause.

We used to love it when someone would call us and give us a heads up about a poker run or bike race. The business is nice but its still better if you have had some time to prepare. :thumbsup: Good Idea

I may have to take off after the halfway point. My father in law wants to go look at guns at the show Sat. and wants me to go help with advice. We may go tomorrow though if he gets out of his meeting early enough. Hopefully we go tomorrow and Sat. I can continue on the trail after lunch.

I have never run Jumbo or Deadman's Loop. Where do they take us exactly? I know the big parking area is up by Virginia City right? And then where would we head off too? I'd like to stop by Smash's and discuss a rear bumper if it takes us down that way.

Don't worry about your CB. Mine is installed, but not even hooked up to anything. ( Didn't have time this week to finish it) . Shouldn't need CBs this trip anyhow.


By the way, I may or may not be there. I have a lot of things to get ready in the morning, but I might meet the groups at the top of the grade. I'll come in from the American Flats side of the grade. But if I get moving early, I will try to be at the 7-11 instead. Either way, hope to see everyone!
