Wow, hard to sum that up Keith. You should take the time to read it. It looks like things will be changing on the con. Limiting # of people on the trail, permits, law enforcement, no drinking, no campfires, their turning it into Disneyland.

I guess thats better than people turning it into a wasteland.

Wow! "Not trying to be rude" attitude is what the Republic of California Tree Nazi's want. In short, SV, you would be required to purchase a permit, T.U.A. (trail use agreement) , one per vehicle, to be able to run the trail. This sticker must be visible on your rig to be permitted on the trail. Any violations of the signed T.U.A. would result in your permit being revoked and your rubicon trail usage would be no more. Not to mention SV that " they" have determined for you the # of rigs to be allowed and if the Trail Supervisor determines that # of rigs is too many, it will be decreased 50 to 80% until "impact" goals are reached and that new rig limit will be put into place for every season on. "They" based this on the noise levels, trial traffic jams that caused frustration, and a partying atmosphere that the trail, read thru bull**** here, we all know that the 'lil sluice was a partying destination, causes.
So in short, trail etiquite is more important than ever. You never hear of awesome trails back east. Or lets go to Indiana to wheel. They have OHV pay to play areas. It's just a matter of time that ALL CA trails will need a permit.
