hey dead,i would build some kinda bracket to mount your ram as straight as posable.hydraulics arnt very forgiving, that ram will break things or it self and you wont even know it untell you have no steering. i dont think it would be a prob to mount it with one end to the front or rear of the buggy just make sure to mount each end in line.like in your pic the pass side should be the same as the driver side if not it may want to tear the steering arm off when you turn all the way to the left or right as it will be pushing up to the left and pulling down to the right!!

OK, so no go on the angle. What about the last pic, look strong enough? Any pics of installed rams would be helpful.

The best way to mount it would be between your tie rod and the differential.PM me your email address and I will send you a few pics or you can wait and see it for yourself on saturday

:disagree: if you bind your tires up i'd bet money it would snap that bolt off!!heres a couple pics of mine, your welcome to come over and take a look if you want!! one ends mounted to the axle the other to the tie rod!!

A cooler, I didn't think of that. What type of mod to the pump? If I pull my pump, could you or someone show me what to drill out or whatever?

The mod to the pump is to remove the fitting, stretch the spring and drill the hole on the high pressure fitting out to 3/16ths.Thats all I did to mine and I can turn 40s with one finger.I bought a cooler at summit with its own electric fan,it is the dual pass type that also cools the trans.

You can also get a kit from Performance Steering components. They sell you the ram, hiem joints, tabs, a modified high output pump, modified steering box, all the fittings and hoses, plus a really spiffy remote high capacity resivior. If don't have power steering already it isn't that much more expensive then adding power steering alone.

They will also modify your pump and steering box and sell components.
