Does anyone know the fender laws around here? How many inches of tires can show?

seriously almost every agency you ask has no clue, And/or will refer you to another agency.

Lift / fender / bumper laws , I have found are not strictly enforced in this county/state. UNLIKE California/Utah etc. Knock on wood...

I should know, I could prolly end up on the Lift/bumper/ height offenders " Most wanted " !

I know I saw a 4wheel-Offroad mag that had state by state laws listed.

LAST I CAN REMEMBER THERE IS NO FENDER OR MUDFLAP LAW HERE ONLY HEIGHT....THERE ARE SEVERAL HEIGHT LAWS,DON'T QUOTE ME ON THE INCHES BUT THEY ARE SOMETHING LIKE THIS....GROUND TO LOWEST PART OF BODY-4500LBS OR LESS 28".....4500-7500 30".......ABOVE 7500 32".ALSO THERE IS A HEADLIGHT LAW WHICH I THINK IS 45" TO CENTER OF HEADLIGHT,IF YOU ARE THAT AND ABOVE YOUR HEADLIGHT NEED TO BE RELOCATED,LIKE I SAID IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE I DROVE MY JEEP ON THE ROAD SO DON'T QUOTE ME.:D

A long time ago a cop gave me alot of **** for my fenders but never gave me a ticket probably because she didnt know the law.
the folloing week another cop warned me for wheeling on private property, i took the warning and then asked him about the fender law. We then proceded to look it up in the NRS book all the cops carry with them. And the ONLY thing we could find is that only if your vehicle is 16,000 pounds or more do you need fenders or mudflaps.
Times do change and this was about 2 years ago and this book might have been alittle different than the one in the previous post.

Thats about all the info i have on that.

NV laws state if your vehicle came with them(fender) then you have to have them on there. Went rounds with a go get em NHP in carson He said I needed mud flaps. I fought it and won in court( he didn't show up). They will write the ticket, Expecting you to pay it for sure. It pays to know the law and I've printed out the important stuff and have a file in my truck so I can educate if needed. My $.02

oops :( I dont have any way to reattach fenders short of putting on new front sheetmetal.

As long as you dont sling rocks and mud into on coming traffic, you should be ok :D Drive slow till all that crud falls off

What about driving this to the Con, up 50 to Jamestown..Ca. will have a cow but Nv??... got fenders but they don't do anything:gapteeth:
