I figured since there was so much talk about LEO's on here I would tell you all what happened to us tonight.
Kevin, Justin and I were sitting at Dairy Queen in Sparks. Kevin was going thru the drive thru and I was waiting out front in the other jeep. I hear a bunch of young hispanic boys cussing and carrying on. Sounds like a fight is brewing. I start to panic cause they are not that far behind me. They start running into the intersection chasing 2 boys. They were almost hit but a SUV. Well about 5 seconds later, the SUV has stopped and has the kid with the knife on the ground. It just so happened that this started in front of 3 Undercover vehicles. :D
So I will never again say there is never a cop around when you need one. These punks were intent on stabbing these 2 other boys. If there wasn't cops there someone could have lost their life.
Good job guys
Please note, this is not intended to turn into a bashing thread. Just a pat on the back for what they do.

I've been told there is a lot of undercover officers in the Reno Sparks area. More then anyone might think there are anyway. Glad no one was hurt. I was in a parking garage and a man pulled a knife on me back in September of 05 and it was by peer luck that there was an off duty under cover officer just about to get out of his car with his wife while all this took place right in front of him. The officer had a gun and told him to freeze, the guy looked around to see who said that and I stepped on the gas and got to safety. I was able to speak with the LEO in the aftermath and I was in tears and his wife was able to calm me down. I'll never forget that day. I owe my life to the officer.

Well I'm glad to see that some people still have respect for LEO and what they do. If it wasn't for the police, you wouldn't have the same life your living right now.. I feel pretty safe when walking down the street so I think they need some credit for what they do.

Those are great stories. Thanks for sharing. These are the good things that never make it to the news/media.

Why Dairy Queen when Scoopers is right across the street?:mouth_water: That is some crazy stuff though. Those Sparks Cops do have that town locked down. I know we could not get away with anything when I was growing up there.

Scooper was packed, and I saw only one car at the DQ, shortest line when you are hungry.

If anybody is saying anything bad about the Sparks PD, I have this to say about that :
Sparks PD may not be the best PD in the country, but they do a darn good job with what they have to work with.
Any Police Agency will have it's bad apples and they sooner or later get weeded out. This will always be the case as long as they must recruit their members from the Human Race.
If you don't like the police, next time you need help, call a hippy or a crackhead. !!
