Most of you know that I've been working on this book for quite a while. I started about a year and a half ago, but had to have the bulk of it done last summer. Well it is now officially out!

You gotta know how to ride when you wheel with the XJNATION! (that is with 5" lifts or smaller on 33" tires stock gearing ;))

Super Burrito in sparks or Reno?

Yea, I will try to stop by, but which one do I go to? I wish I had a book:bling:
Did you do a Jeepspeed chapter or two by chance?

Its the Super Burrito in Sparks. I posted a "Burrito Night" thread in the Events section. All are welcome whether you want to buy a book or not. :)

Sam,

I didn't do a chapter about JeepSpeed but I did mention it a few times as well as listing JeepSpeed.com in the Source Guide (Appendix). And... my thoughts are if I were ever to do another XJ book, it would be exclusively about JeepSpeed and engine performance. I would love to get into JeepSpeed myself with a different XJ of course, buy it stock and document the build-up, and race for a few years. That book would probably be 5 years out or so. But... that is just what I would like to do - there are no definite plans for that as of yet.

Eric,
So after completing this book, you would write another one? What was the most frustrating aspect of the process?

Eric,
So after completing this book, you would write another one? What was the most frustrating aspect of the process?

If I do write another one, it won't be right away - I'm pretty burned out.

There were a lot of things that were a challenge with this:
- Not being able to use any of my previous photos (not Hi-res enough)
- Trying to find time to work on it between work and family obligations
- Stress due to deadlines (I had to put in a few all-nighters, even though I had work the next day)
- Trying to get help from manufacturers - some were a big help, others were not
- Editing - My editor was very good, but sometimes its frustrating trying to get the wording right so it pleases both the editor and me. Also, someone else is responsible for the layout and photo editing (cropping) - when you are picky like me, it can be frustrating.
- And the waiting, waiting, waiting for it to finally get printed. :)
