Sam in in Mexico right now racing in the Baja 500 with Chad. I know that they are gunning for Greg Foutz in Full Stock, but I did not see him in the list of competitors. I think that Rod is racing in Stock Mini as well. Good luck to all!

Not sure if BBOffroad is competing in this race or just BITD for now, but good luck to all the locals racing this weekend! Can't wait to hear the firsthand report when you guys get back.

When I hear the name of Robby Gordon, I always think about the incedent last year where he called Michael Waltrip a piece of $#!T during a post wreck interview.

Looks like a good time Jake, I really dig the sunset photo. Whose buggy is in the second photo? Is that Kash Vessels?

From the results it looks like it was a rough race. No finishers in Class 11 and only 1 finisher each in Full Stock and Mini Stock. Congrats to Rod for the class win though!

We had a mystery electrical probem in the H2 that put us out at mile 120:( We had a 15 minute lead at that point and everything was working well, but then the throttle stopped working, and we had some other strange electrical problems that kept us from moving along. It is not a sensor problem, it is a damaged wiring problem somewhere that we could not find in time( we carry a diagnostic computer in the H2). The H2 is way past due for a complete re wire, this is just the final straw to prove the point.
I did have an exciting co drive to that point, we had to un cork the clogged race course in one spot, which allowed us to pass 15 or so faster race cars and trucks to un stick a class 7 truck stuck in a stream crossing in the pine forest section. It seems simple, but it was kind of crazy, a bunch of yelling, cutting tow straps and running around. We almost ran over a spectator standing in the course taking a picture and playing chicken with us, just to name a few things that are the always exciting stuff that comes from Baja racing. The new shocks were working well, but we still have some tuning issues I need to work out to tune out the harshness in the small choppy stuff.

It was good Rod won his class, he had a couple of Journalists actually drive his race car:eek: for a couple hundred miles, which was scary, but turned out good. We should get some good press from that which keeps us racing. The H3 is a tough machine for sure:yes:

good job Sam, Glad you guys had a good time and made it back safe. You never should of told me you needed to rebuild that wiring in that H2 a couple of weeks ago. haha. Electrical problems are for sure the worst.
