I enjoyed it. I liked the fact that the build up show was shorter than the race episode. How much money do you think he put into it? just parts you know he didn't pay jack for all thier help...
It was better than watching CSI or some other crap..

I find it odd that they didn't have the correct size heim joint for a spare, especially for such a critical part of the suspension.

Its always hard to decide what kind of spares to bring. You never know what is going to break. The only reason the hiem broke is because Ed gave him a little assistance off the course. Think if you were to go through your rig and bring a spare of everything how much would that weigh? Sometimes you need to risk it. I talked with danny porter after the show and he said that Jesse is a good guy, cocky and full of himself but that is what makes him succesfull. He does get a lot of help in that industrie but its a benifit for all of us off roaders especially the racers. This show is going to bring in a lot more people and support from major companies wanting there naem out there. I thank Jesse James for being "somebody" and getting involved in our sport, we need the support! And throttleboy I built my own race truck, givin I had some sponsors help me out, I couldnt have done it with out the guys out there who will drop everything just to lend a hand some of those guys are the same ones on that show. just to name a few billy and danny from porter gave me some help with shock angles, paul perrizo gave us some pointers on being a succesful team and jason campbell from camburg. Its overwhelming how many people you meet moving from hawaii and building your first race truck. I met Sam at the finish line of terribles town 250. So when you get jealous of someone that makes a contribution to the sport becarefull an who you share it with cause most people wont help you out if your an ass.

oooo sounds like someone is upset! sorry to get on your case, but you should watch what you say, I know there are some good fabricators out there that just havent had the chance to show it. There is no need to be defensive about anything, the one thing we all have in common is going out and doing our best to have a good time.

I think Jesse James hooked up all the guys that were on the show. Just to be on that show is a big deal, and it gave those shops tons of recognition that they can really use. You notice Jesse was not his normal cocky self, he really respected those guys for what they built, and he did build a good amount of work himself. He really is a talented fabricator, and he did take this one seriously, unlike some of the other Monster Garage episodes. He drew a rear start, that shows he was not cocky, and he drove a conservative pace, and when he got nerfed really hard in laughlin he never *****ed to anyone. (Enough of me blowing J. James:bowdown: )
You notice he did not throw the Herbsts under the Bus when they nerfed him, I thought that showed respect. I heard it was Troy in the Truggy that nerfed him, the Herbst TT was first on the road till about mile 220, so it never had a chance to distroy like THE TRUGGY;) I say if you are gonna be taken out of a race, you might as well be taken out by the Truggy. I am proud to say one of the bumpers I built was mauled by Troy in the Truggy at the Las Vegas Terribles Cup.
The spare hiem thing, I think the size they needed was a 7/8 x7/8, which is kind of an odd size, hence the problem finding extras. Not carrying one was a mistake, but an easy one to make. That was an un raced and un tested truck with not the most amount preparation and orginization with chase parts etc... I doubt that they had more common spares such as rear axle, trans, shocks etc. let alone an odd ball rod end. He is building a Porter mid engine TT right now, so we will see how he stands with a real modern TT against the more experienced racers. I hope he sitcks with it.
