Vegas To Reno Off Road Race Aug 12-27

Where is a good place to camp and be able to catch all the action?

Ill be racing our #7223 truck. It will be our first race in that class, im so excited.:D

I'm not sure as far as a camp spot we are going to get the map of the race then just scout out a good spot. We should make a Reno4x4 camp some were...BBQ,BEER, Tunes....just a good time..

When they post the race map on the BITD website, we should post it here and find a spot to get a spectator group to watch. The farther north the pit is, the more spaced apart the cars and bikes will be, and the later everyone will come by. Due to that, I think camping and barbacue would be in order:yes: I think this year is closer to 600 miles:eek:

Don't they come through Silver Springs, by the lake/river area? I've heard that they do and I've missed it in the past few years. I'm for sure going to see it this year.

The race starts on friday and it runs right buy TOP GUN RACEWAY and goes right into WEEKS and ends right out side of Dayton . It should be a good race!!!

My wife and i were thinking fo camping at the south end of Lahontan Res and driving down to the race course.
If anybody has a better idea let me know.

After checking the race schedule its really only happening Friday.
I think i will head out towards To Gun Raceway early tomorrow morning and check things out planning on being home Friday evening.
Saturday we are heading to Donner Ranch for the We Rock thing.

Some pics from the Vegas to Reno race. The first two bikes came through at around 2:30 they were hauling ass, the third bike was an hour later. The first truck/buggy that came through was around 6:30 I think.

First truck through, what do you think the quad rider was thinking :) The truck had it siren blasting trying to get the quad to pull over.

I just stopped by about 30 minutes ago and seen all the racers camped out near the highway. (11:30pm). I'm going to swing by in the morning to see if there is any action.

Yep, totally missed the whole thing. All well. So I ran the trail from Silver Springs to Dayton. Helped unstuck a group with a busted Ford. Seen a busted buggy, and ATV. It was cool.

Well, I guess I'll have to wait till next year.
