Okay my tires are shot and I am going to upgrade. What lift and what size tires are recommmended? I use the truck as my daily driver and as a pull truck for Big Pile of Blue 89, no serious off-roading. I will say that i am not into the wagon wheel look. I think its for the Asian Specialized rigs:D ....I currently have 16.5 rims and that size is fine with me. Can i go to like a 36" tire with a 4" lift or need more? Please give me your ideas and recommendations and if anyone has anything for sale that I can use let me know. Thanks

I had a 2003 toyota celica.....safer maybe....but a lot more tickets...truck makes me go slower so less tickets, less wife being pissed and less money spent on insurance...
and i know its a tow rig but i want it just a little more tough looking and a little less grandpaish..not talking about a 15"lift with 44" gumbo mudder, maybe a 4" lift with some 35s...

Tighten the tortion bars on the front and throw some 35s under there. Cut the fender if needed. Hell just put 33's and it will look better than rockapes baby poo ford

Everything at Summit is 10% off during HAN.You may want to check there. As for the Wagon Wheel comment...Tow Rigs are much more stable with less sidewall that is the reason I chose 20" wheels with 37" tires. My excursion had 16.5" wheels with 35" tires and I had the worst vibration I tried everything...alignment ,wheel balance, driveshaft balance and nothing rid of my problem.Later we came to the conclusion that a 16.5" wheel has an odd bead on the inside which causes the tire to float back and forth on it at high speed while towing.as soon as I changed the rim my problem went away.I have had this problem with several 16.5" wheels so I would suggest switching to a 16" or 17" wheel.

Cool thanks. Probably go to 16 or 17...16.5 doesn't have a wide selection of tires. Not knocking your wagoon wheels at all, yours actually doesn't look bad, but there are the ones that put like 22s with like 35's which gives them a real low profile and then are left with like 8" of clearence between the tire and bottom of fender and those are the ones the look funny...too each his own. Its like they want to have a low rider and a monster truck but cant decide....i want to go with probably 35" tires so would a 4" lift do the trick? and if so which company would be good?

It already has springs front and rear... and big blue doesn't ever need recovery...it always manages to limp back on the triler like a puppy that just got spanked for peeing on the carpet...go bigger 37s are too small.....are you going to have pj back half your jeep after the new axles are in??:nutkick:

I am already in debt up to my eyeballs...toys cost a lot but he who dies with the most toys wins....
I guess I better just tell the truth..I really love 24" chrome spinners with 44" low profiles but just cant afford them so I am pretending to not like them....:rolling::no:
