Wheres a good place to go shooting?

Is there anywhere nearby reno thats good for shooting? I haven't had a chance to get the guns out since before i moved here in october!!!! I want to take some of them out this afternoon. I don't want to drive 100 miles to do it. I'm right off of moana and virginia. anywhere nearby????

from moana / SV your closest bet is where Denis said. Go to Mcarren and longely, there's a paved road that goes up the hill on the east side of longly. Keep following it until it turns to dirt.

If you're out shooting, please pickup your brass and your targets! also let us know when you're going, someone always wants go with

I reload so picking up the brass isn't a problem ;) . Thanks for the directions, i'll give it a try. I'm actually going to leave here in a few minutes. I'm just going to take out the 10/22, the ak, and my xd40 for just a few minutes to get my fix. I've got a couple of cardboard boxes wasting space in the living room i'm going to fiish off out there :D . Next time i go i'll post when and where, its always nice to have a few different weapons to choose from. I'll have to let a few of you shoot my automag, maybe i can get you to buy it so i can fund my jeep!

Hi all, just purchased a new wheel gun, Ruger SP101, and a shotgun for home defense, Remington 870 synthetic. I need to take the wife out to shoot them so that she is not "gun shy" if she needs to pull the trigger.

Anyone willing to show the way to someplace we can pull off a few rounds?

Up peavine past the end of bud canyon is a pretty good spot.

We just went shooting today, out winnemucca ranch rd just past the moonrocks. Had everything from 22's to glocks to my AR. Bring out alot of targets and blow through some rounds.

yeah i like shooting out that way also
if you like to do some skeet shooting there is another good place up peavine
you go up the main road and on the left side there is a huge field that you drive down into great place for quail hunting also

Everyone please pick up after yourselves if you shoot on BLM! It's terrible to see shot up trash out there. I've started brining a trash bag and hauling other people's crap out. Respect a shooting area just like you respect a trail.
