aaron's buggy still isn't running at 100%, as for jeremy, send him a pm. I went back up on sat. but bent my tierod at the first waterfall, I don't think the ghost of bud canyon likes me :(. I am going to call summit girl and see if she wants to take her barbie jeep up...

man, I must be really upsetting some fools, even eric is calling me names :rolleyes:. Directions coming from the north valleys (south on 395)...
Get off on the clearacre exit, turn right on to mccarran. Go to kings row and turn right. Go up to the top of the hill and look for the kings row trailhead, it is in between two houses, so it is easy to miss. I will park on da' street so you can find us. You can also give me a call, my # is on the third or fourth post...

i'd go but we're cruising in our '55 Wed night-- we're HAN registered, so....... that's that i guess.

For those whinning about a seat, hell, u can walk the trail faster than ride and for the *less than Bud ready* rigs, u can easily in 2WD drive around to the top and come in from the exit-- always makes for a good winch anchor point. So, no real reason NOt to go and at least watch.

I don't know if you will be qualified...don't worry, I will strike spork when he least suspects it. Dustin will probably lead, I only made it to the first waterfall and my junk broke, so I haven't run the whole trail.

Just got in - what a rush!

My ride home was actually smoother than the ride there! :lolrun: (I've been having balancing issues with these tires lately) I found that my cat and muffler took a beating and were pushed upward very close to the body but not hitting. The tail pipe was pointed right at my rear bumper though so by the time I got home it (the bumper) was too hot to touch! :eek: Other than that, the front drop brackets and steering need to be tightened and I got a 4" scratch on the drivers door :(

A quoick synopsis of the run:

The rigs that showed up:

Dustin (XJ)
David (MJ)
Will (TJ)
myself (XJ)
Jeremy (CJ)

We all made it up the first waterfall under our own power but it was difficult for Jeremy's CJ (not for lack of effort or driving skills of course...) Will turned around there (had kids - getting late...) but his TJ could have kept going.

The second waterfall was about as bad as the first but a totally different obstacle. Jeremy after several attempts did take a strap (yes from an XJ :D ) and turned around there.

By the time we got to the last waterfall, it was dark which made it even more challenging. The three of us Dustin, David, and I all made it under our own power with a little strategic rock stacking, but I am amazed that we didn't have to use Dustins winch.

Can't wait to see the pics Nick took, even though they won't do this trail justice. Thanks guys, I had a great time!

That trail put a hurtin on the cj5.With 35s and some kind of traction aiding device up front and I would have been good.But I was Denied (doh).Made it half way up the second waterfall and wedged it in on its passenger side and had to get the strap :eek: (pics please)I think that trail was too "hardcore" for my baby jeep,but not "hardcore" enough for the driver :D And the drive down the first waterfall was fun at 9:45pm I thought I was going to roll it but didnt.
I had fun but it makes me glad the old cj is getting RETIRED!

I'd say this trail is about as difficult as True Sluice on the 'Con, but when I did that I was on 33's, so maybe its more difficult????

Good run guys! A lot more challenging than I anticipated, but altogether a good time. Jeremy took the old strap, but was gettin' it good, mad props to him for making it as far as he did. My only damage was to my drivers side rocker, I need some sliders :D Good times, can't wait to get out again...
