Geo what???..... Want to find out more about Geocaching! (http://www.geocaching.com)
New to the area or want a local to show you how? Just like wheelers there are groups who are willing to teach and help out.

Two websites will help you out.
http://www.gbesgeo.org/ AND http://groups.yahoo.com/group/GBESGeocachers/

I will post more here when I find out more info. If you really want to get into caching then get on the yahoo groups (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/GBESGeocachers/).

I know a few folks have expressed interest and I apologize for not getting back with you. However I believe we can set up a reno4x event where we can do some wheeling and caching around the Storey County area as well as see some of the local trails and maybe a canyon or two. It would run from Lousetown to Lockwood with some views and pit stops of Logermarsino Canyon and Bronco Canyon.

Will need a little bit of time to set that up though. Any volunteers to run me up and down the area or follow along on a mild trail ride? PM me and we can arrange a date to go. Bring a GPS, Water and a camera....

Save May 19 for a GBES teaching event.

we're going to offer GPS 101 and Geocaching 101 at an indoor facility
for total newbies.
- then an outdoor 'field/lab' session for hands on practice at a local
park. There will even be some Rally School practice for those of you
entering the GBES rally in June. This will be followed up with a commraderie session at a local pizza joint. We're looking for geocacher volunteers to help newbies out in
the 'field/lab' session at a local park. Please watch for the event posting - and if it's possible to help volunteer- please post a note with the type of GPSr that you can help
with. Indoor class size will be limited - so it will be first come first
served!

Momma Gravy & I are in the process of getting this class listed as an event. The event page will contain more information.

Check out the GBES Navagational Rally listed under events on the board. It is a very challenging experience.

Insert "GOOD WORD!" here. We are doing a meet & greet at Mountain Mike's Pizza on May 19th! It was the only place I could think of! Sorry we missed you willyj at Boulavard Pizza for the last meet & greet.

We are a fun bunch.

It would be nice if we could hook-up with a few serious off-roaders that could give us some driving tips on how to drive a vertical downhill/uphill switchback on shale. I am the driver & it is the only part of the course that I am a "little" worried about, but I'm thinking, low range & slow, slow, slow & steady. Need info before June 10th.

What's your take?

As slow as you can but not so slow that your vehicle is constantly sliding and complicating steering, also you should be in low range but pick a gear that will allow you to pick up some speed if your vihicle slides a little bit as a means to maintain steering ability.
