I'm new to the whole atv thing though I've been wheeling awhile. I bought my neighbors Grizzley about 6 months ago and during that time it held truck parts quite well. I want to start riding this thing. I took it out today and was pleased to note that it handles somewhat like a motorcycle, something I do know about.

Does anyone know how far you can get with a tank of gas on one of these? I pulled up to the pump at Carson Plains out in Dayton and was pleased to note I could fill it for ten bucks. Last time I filled my truck for a wheeling trip it was close to 100. I just don't want to go out exploring too far and having to hoof it out. That'd suck. Any help would be appreciated. Also if anyone has mondays tuesdays off I'd be game to get a ride put together. I'm jonesin for the Barney Riley trail. I'd also like to explore more of the area around bronco canyon. Not sure I'd want to take the lil tyke up the rocks though. anyway, nuff said. :)

the 99 will be diffrent than the 05, but you should get anywhere from 60-70 miles on one tank. Also make sure to vent the palstics above the motor to prevent over heating. here is a good website for any and all grizz questions http://www.grizzlyowners.com/

Hey Norm,
Just joined web site this week. I have 650Hi Artic cat. TRV. Its like a mini jeep 93" lenght and 800lbs+. I get about 15-20mi/gal. I watch my digital gauge and when I get down to 2 -3bars bars I start back. I have gone out all day and put 70miles and only used half tank if mostly level in 2wd mode. I used to wheel F250 lifted with 35',s back in High school . Jut just bought ATv for better gas mileage and low maint cost. I did all my crazy stuff back then that people post about now. I have weekends off darn it. I joined site to find riders. Hate going alone, always wheeled in pairs much safer. I will post when going riding, you do the same and maybe we can go together. Was going to help on Sat with DF log pull but kid has soccer game at 11:30. I just might ride up late and see what you gus have done. I am planning on Peavine clean up on 12th. Do you think me and my atv would be any help or just get in the way. I have tons of chians an tow ropes from wheeling plus 2.5 winch on ATV. Please advise. Some wheelers may not care for ATV mixing in their domain.

Thanx for the help guys.

I wouldn't care to have an ATV with me when I'm wheelin my hunka junk but I don't think it would be fun for the ATV guy. Either it would be somewhat flat in where I'd probably be going slow or I'm to where I'm to where I'm going and there is rocks, Big Ones. I'm sure there's guys who do it but I don't think I'll be dragging my ATV up bronco canyon. The rear control arms are real flimsy looking to me. I don't know anything about Peavine. I think that's a Reno thing and if I recall it doesn't look real challenging but I'd go just to relax. It's not all contact sport wheeling for me. :) Take care man. NORM
