However if there is a lot and we fill it, I might ask for people to donate a buck or two to help pay for disposal. If we don't need it thats great also - that means there isn't that much trash.

I used to a TON when I lived in seattle. Only gone a couple times here in Reno. floated the madison river in montana, fished a bunch of streams in pennsylvania as well as a couple rivers in Wyoming. We oughta go hit up the truckee sometime

there's really no big items out there(as of two days ago)but there's a #@!*&
load of new graffitti on the rocks, anybody have any ideas of how to remove it? i friggin' HATE these little urban "artists" that are gonna get our areas closed down.

I called the reno gazette journal and informed them of our doings, and sent the following press release. They may show up, they may not.

Reno4x4 will be doing a cleanup of the Hungry Valley Off Highway Vehicle area (Moon Rocks) this coming Saturday, October 1st. The participants will be a broad range of four-wheelers including stock and modified jeeps to full tube rock crawling buggies. Our goal for this day is to clean up trash around the Moon Rocks area and hopefully remove some recent graffiti. It is our intention to help keep Moon Rocks clean so it stays open and available to anyone who wants to use the area. Anyone wishing to attend is welcome. The event will start at 10:00am and end when the last person leaves.

yeah, like an angle grinder, I have some wire wheel attachments (but no grinder). Do you have a full facemask and a long extension cord as well? We will probably need enough safety gear for 2 grinders (facemasks and gloves), 2 angle grinders, 2 wire wheels, and 2 long extension cords. It sounds like denis and eric can bring theirs, and that should be plenty.

This was a nice activity even though the wind sucked and was pretty miserable at times. The clean-up went well and we collected a sizeable amount, considering it was almost all small stuff. It is amazing how much broken glass there is strewn about. You don't really notice how much there is until you start picking it up, even just the bigger pieces. I think the largest thing we found other than the junk wood, was a windshield. Luckily it was mostly connected in a few big pieces so it was easy to pick up.

Nobody got any pictures of the graffiti? It was very bad and unfortunately nobody brought the generator, but I don't know how much we could have removed.

You Guys did a great job with the cleanup = we spent about 2 hours the next day picking up afer that following night = people just dont care about our playgrounds. It was good to hook up with the few of ya that We met.
