So ive been swamped with work and life in general and havent moved my AX-10 from the spot i put it 3 weeks ago. well i decided to charge up the battery and play around. When i turn it on the wheels turn from side to side but i dont get any movement in forward or reverse. The drive motor wont turn at all. 3 weeks ago it was working just fine then all of a sudden it stops??? Does anybody know what could be happening? Maybe the motor went out but how does a motor go out from just sitting for a few weeks???
My ever changing money pit. SCX10 kit Hilux Cab, honcho bed and bumper, and custom back cab. 6EX, 11.1 2200 30 lipos, 35t, Fut 9157 servo, FXR, CCBec, Axial NVS System, RC4WD Winch, Rok Lox 1.9, OEM Steelies, Chassis mounted servo, 4-linked all around, Alu C-hubs and high steer knuckles and steel drive shafts, connected to steel tranny outputs, and more. I want something on my AX10 that nobody else has... i want a Camaro body. Looking for any Camaro style except the f body. If not just about any muscle car (GTO, Firebird, Cheville, Charger, etc) From what I've tried to find nobody makes one specifically for crawlers but is there any body that would work?
one on the left picked up today and the one to the right i have had for 3yrs and getting another tommarow hopefully
*edited went to ckrc expecting internet prices, but store prices are twice as much not expecting that there are a few smart people behind the counter, then some that are clueless do yourself a favor and buy online and get it shipped to you
So after playing with the crawler that Austin (nameless) bought about a week ago I got even more hooked than I thought I would. So Tuesday May 27 I went to CKRC and haggled them down from $290 to the online + shipping price of $240 for the RTC. I also bought the CKRC Stage II kit which comes with wheel weights, softer front springs, aluminum uppers, and aluminum 30* rear bent links. I’m just using an old stick pack for my battery. I’m trying to keep this a budget build…for now. Straight out of the box: I read a lot of different budget builds for the RTC and I followed most of their advice. The Proline Hammers are far from a comp tire but trying to keep it budget. I added 7oz to each front wheel and 2oz to each rear wheel. I also drilled 2 holes in each wheel to add some flex to them. The stock setup was super light and the tires wouldn’t even stand up on their own. They were way ballooned out. In order to get more traction I took my wire cutters and sipped the tires between...
These should be available in 2 weeks!!! -Lisa
What are you running? Got a few pics and specs? Post them! Don't know how to post pics? Easy tutorial here: http://www.reno4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24422
i'll be down there after work around 4
What shock set-ups do ya'll run? I am looking to change mine up. They way that I have it set up right now is fully sprung, so there is essentially no down travel. I would like to go to a longer shock, (i.e. hpi savage shocks) and set them up to be about half up/half down travel, but I am not sure how to go about it. In my head, it works if I use a super soft spring because my crawler is heavy, about 15-17 pounds, but I am not sure if somebody else has tried this setup.
I am thinking about purchasing this, anyone have any info? for the price on an rtr i thought it couldn't be beat. and then do some upgrades. anyone?
My buddy, uncle and I went out to moon rocks to wheel the rigs and snapped a few pics. Here they are.
Ive been looking into gettin into RC Crawling but dont want to spend too much to start. Im not looking to do comps right now just something fun to play around with in the yard or around Reno and maybe build up a course. New house has a good sized back yard with lots of area for somethin like this. Ive been lookin at a few budget models and ive narrowed it down to 3 Axial AX10 Scorpion RTC 1/10 Comes with everything but batteries and charger for $235. However, i do hear a lot of issues with this being cheap and weak and very underpowered. CKRC Page
looking at racing seats for my 1991 yj. I want two for the front(driver and passenger) and i want a new rear bench. my limit is $1000 which includes the seats harnesses and the mounting brackets
What do you all think about the night crawler from team losi? Seems like a good deal for a rtr if I read ckrc's site correctly. All I want a rc for is to probably just to dink around the house I've had nitro stuff but no crawlers......
looking to buy a 1/10 scale crawler. i am thinking about ax-10 but who knows. i dont really have that much money so somthing affordable. thanks alot Travis
Newbie need some help! Just picked up a rig and have the FX-R TT1091 speed controller with the VT3 transmitter. Everything was working great last night but after charging the batteries, this morning I have no forward throttle. All the lights just blink fast on the speed controller, then you try forward throttle. (That's telling me the receiver not seeing the transmitter?) Reversing the throttle just works for reverse. Any tip or Ideas. Jeff
Me and my uncle hit up Moon Rocks this Sunday with the Rhino and scalers.. Heres some pics for you guys
Just wonderin if anyone else has scalers on here. If so, post them up! Heres my JK Scx10 frame, axial axles/trans, and beadlocks on rc4wd Tomahawk tires. Im also working on a 4door chevy truck, but i wont have any pics until i get the body sometime this week.
everything stock except for these upgrades: Digital High torque MG servo Novak Rooster esc with 55t motor lipo (will be raplaced with smaller one. Had a 7.4v 2 cell 35c 5000mah laying around) Spektrum sr3001 reciever
so I was wanting to get an rc crawler to play around with. I was thinking about a venom, or axial crawler but I know nothing about them,or is there anything cheaper thats of good quality, I dont want to get something that seems like a toy. I'm not going to do comps any time soon but want a good crawler that wont break on me the first week I get it, or have the battery die after a couple months of use. any opinions?
i changed out the reciever to a spektrum so i can use my dx2. Now my throttle/reverse response is almost jolting. Ill pull to go forward and it just stays there, and then all of the sudden Boom it goes fast. same with reverse. Its like i have no control over it. Is it through the bindings or what? Its even worse when i try to turn and forward/reverse at same time
hey guys. new to the crawling rc stuff, but decent racer buggy/slash racer. Just wondering if 2 2650 in parallel would be enough to power my crawler? im going to go with a novak 55t and esc. let me know! http://www.ckrccrawlers.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=94_76&products_id=2229 2 of these over each axle? or should i go with something smaller?
I know for crawling you would want a high torq servo, but i got a ds1313 laying around would it be good for crawling? its a fast digital servo
Just wanted to say it was awesome to meet you all this weekend, and I had an absolute blast hanging out with you guys! I wish we were closer so that we could attend a few comps, I want to drive more of Parker's courses! Thanks to those of you that worked hard to make it an awesome event-- I said it on rccrawler, but that place is so full of drama and pessimism I wasn't sure if it would get noticed. It really was a killer event, and I had a freaking blast!! hope to see you all soon! ~Jess
