I am putting this here because the land use section does not get enough traffic and this needs attention NOW! http://blogs.4wheeloffroad.com/6563368/miscellaneous/moab-might-be-gone-forever/index.html Congress to Vote on H.R. 1925 America's Red Rock Wilderness Act This Thursday! Times are tough for a lot of us these days. I thought a thread where members could list their trade or talents for barter. As for me: History or literature tutor Former chef (not gourmet but, I can whip up some killer food) I'll think of more later.
You can avoid this hassle all together by becoming a preimum member and upload pics directly to the forum from your PC (plus other benefits). Updating this for 2009 So you are computer and internet illiterate and can't post pics from your computer. Don't worry, if kindergartners can do it so can you. First create an account at PhotoBucket. http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll110/KrisGranholm/photobucket01.jpg
Denis Has Signed up Reno4x4.com as a organization membership with the BlueRibbon Coalition So this means that you can save $10.00 on a memebership with them if you enter that you are with Reno4x4 !! Here is my *half-assed* tutorial on posting videos to Reno 4x4 :) 1. If the video you would like to post is not hosted by YouTube (ie: LiveLeak, Break, Google Video...Etc.) attempt to locate the same video on YouTube, as YouTube is easiest to post on Reno4x4. - If unable to locate the same video on YouTube, posting the link will be good enough. 1. Locate and copy the URL of the YouTube Video you would like to post (Usually found in the address bar while viewing the video page) http://content.screencast.com/users/urbandev/folders/Jing/media/d63ea7f2-4366-4386-9821-889b385f90f2/00000048.png 2. Go to http://tinyurl.com/ytroach and paste the url into the box. http://content.screencast.com/users/urbandev/folders/Jing/media/1f43af3b-618a-4167-8f61-f9508f0d7d8e/00000049.png
Ok, So we as member's of Reno4x4 need to make some changes. If you plan a event/trail run on this site, Do not brag and show photos of off trail/road driving. Plus you should not be driving off the trail for any reason unless its a life or death situation! There is ton of people that giveaway hundreds of hours of their time each year to keep our trails clean, and the trails open for all of us for years to come. I know I get pissed off, if I see fresh tracks through some wet lands, or driving over trees just to get a photo of you flex out on a rock. This is reason trails "ARE" getting closed every day.
Why was the thread about the NHP deleted? What forum rules were broken? Every time a good thread gets going it disappears. Whats up? Is it against forum rules to disagree with local law enforcement tactics?
Anybody seen the Trailer for the Movie 2012 ?? I'm going to go and see it with my son, I'm sure I will be disappointed, but like the looks so far. Looks like a good Sunday afternoon laugh, or it could be decent flick too. http://www.whowillsurvive2012.com/

What about a thread or something where when someone sees, or gets a picture of another member you can ask to see who it was? (i'm stealing this idea from another forum.)
http://specials.msn.com/A-List/Rhode-Island-teachers-fired.aspx?cp-searchtext=Rhode%20Island%20teachers%20fired Since NV teachers are near the top of the pay scale and students score near the bottom...the paradox. :yup:
Lost boys was one of my favorite movies as a kid. I kinda grew up with 'the coreys' in movies. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/gallery/2010/03/10/GA2010031001470.html (beat 72V to the death post!)

I know that there is a lot of peole here that shoot archery so why not make it a run. I have several targets to take including a deer and the one that is says you can't shoot out all sides in a year or they will replace it. Any way make the run simple to a place where there is a nice flat spot for some friendly competition and lunch ect. maybe the run from washoe valley to virginia city. and shoot at the flat spot there. just putting it out there. maybe even be able to shot other's bows I have about 7 or more.
I took a lady friend from Fernley to Silver Springs then back to Fernley totally off road yesterday and I have to say Pam's Ruby performed pretty good. I followed the Truckee Canal all the way to Lahontan then paralleled 95A back toward Fernley. Now I admit the trail was pretty good all the way to SS but it got kind of rocky and wash filled on the way north but the junk negotiated everything damn good. Nothing broke, came loose, fell off, blew up, caught fire, overheated etc. Sure was noisey but I had to do it FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME. One thing for sure I have to get that damn track bar bracket fixed SOOOON. I also have to put the new unit bearings on...although the old ones are still good. Need to get my spare mounted and the second battery installed (today). I also really like that 5.2 liter engine. Plenty of raw power to climb some steep hills.:yup: What I am trying to say here is that my confidence in my Jeep got a big boost yesterday. I will continue to explore...
I thought this could be useful, As there are so many people in this town without jobs, I thought if any of us hear in passing of any job openings, that we could post the info here for others to check out. Please keep the chit chat to a minimum and refrain from posting resumes. I'll start. Reno Orthopedic Clinic. They are in need of a part time casting technician(If you or someone you know knows how to cast. Not a job with training.). I have no details as to what pay would be, but give Ed Hix a call. @ 786-3040

Ok.. Officially I've had about 3X my fill of snow this winter. However if I had this toy I'd pray for snow at one or two more times. RoboPlow http://www.geeksaresexy.net/2010/03/05/roboplow-the-new-awesome-way-to-plow-snow-from-your-driveway/
Does anyone know where to shop for long travel shocks by specification (eye to eye length extended and compressed, or travel length, as well as valving)? I will need longer travel shocks for the Cruiser. It has shocks with 13 1/8" of travel now. I'm thinking 15" or 16" should be enough. Everywhere I go asks what vehicle it's for. Shopping for Toyota shocks isn't going to get me anywhere, 'cause the FJ is nowhere close to stock or a X" lift. I don't need real expensive shocks unless that's the only ones that will fit. Any suggestions?
Anybody know anything about the Lemmon or Golden Valley pits? I remember the Lemmon Valley one being open when I was 4-5 but I was just wondering if anybody knew and history or anything about them.
Lindsey Vonn had to return her Olympic gold medal today because of unusual circumstances: The International Olympic Committee announced Monday that it has taken back the gold medal previously awarded to American skier Lindsey Vonn and given it to U.S. President Barack Obama. Olympic officials said Obama deserved the medal more than Vonn because no one has ever gone downhill faster than he has.
