Dang FMF pipe leaks on my 96 KTM. There has to be a gasket or o ring or ?!?!?! Any one have a any ideals on how to stop this? I have replaced the springs, moved the pipe around with the mounts to make sure it is snug and on correct. Used copper ATV, etc. now what? Called KTM they don't have any gaskets etc for older bikes. :(
So i'm curious how you guys with CCW's are carrying on your bikes, i am nervous about having the holster I have that puts the pistol right on your back in case I go down, don't really wanna worry about it causing spine damage or something.
My 2004 Warrior is leaking gas out of the carb drain hose. I replaced the drain plug screw and o-ring but the drip persists. It stops when the fuel selector is in the off position. Any ideas?
I'm looking to get one of these two quads. I was wondering if there was any advantage to one or the other. Price is the same. This will be used for trail riding. Thanks.
Short version. We've had two Polaris 325's for about 6 years. I've hated them since day one. They were total pigs, so weak they were constantly stuck and wouldn't climb the slightest hill without bogging down. Even at sea level, they were barely adequate for a small rider. So....I'm doing homework on the Polaris clutches and I run across a couple threads on changing the springs. I had already been to the dealership and they wanted me to change to lighter weights, which were going to run me almost $200 with tax. Instead, I find recommendations to keep the stock weights and run stiffer springs in the primary and secondary since the heavier weights grip the belt better, preventing the belt from burning up as easily. I ordered EPI springs, got a Pink one for the primary and an Orange one for the secondary. Put them in, took me about an hour or so, plus sanding the pulleys and putting in a new belt and nylon buttons in the secondary. Holy Cow.... It's still a tractor...
So i was just cleaning my bike and taking it for a test drive around the neighborhood and every time i would pin it it would completely bog down. Even if i was in neutral if i went from no throttle to full throttle quickly it would bog down and die unless i took my time getting to full throttle. Is this normal on a bike?
So since summer is approcing i am thinking about doing a street legal conversion on my 07 ktm 250f but so i know it's going to need lights and tires and possible a diffrent gearing but we'll see.. so i was wondering if anyone has a off-road bike converted to street? i have seen alot of them around and it looks fun. but im going to try to say off of the freeway as much as possible.
We have a 2000 Suzuki Quad Runner 500 that has been sitting in the shed for a few months. We started it up today and noticed that it appeared to be burning oil. So I pulled it in the garage and checked the oil. I drained a bit of it out and started smelling gas???? I completely drained the oil, and there seems to be a lot of gas mixed in. Any ideas?
Just thought Id warn anyone that rides on here not to buy Warp9 wheels. I had this wheel on my 450 for about ten hours before this happened. Which caused my chain to derail and a broken left case

Here is a little bike humor for ya.......................
BIkebandit has the AFX Dualsport helmet on sale for cheap $87 in white, silver, or flat black. http://bikebandit.com/product/19201?WT.mc_id=2145481 I have the silver and its decent. Works with the visor or a set of goggles. Much cheaper than the Shoie or Arai versions. Build and finish are what you might expect for a $100 helmet. It's a bit noisier than a regular street version of a full face, but I always wear ear plugs so no big deal. Only downsides are the wind effect at speed - tends to turn the helmet left or right at speeds pas 60. More noticeable than even a regular MX helmet. Also, I have the mirrored visor and the inside is not coated with anti-reflective coating - so with the visor partially open, you get a lot of reflections from the bike or ground -anything under the helmet.
These were cheaper new than buying used OEM tires. The tread on my old tires began resenting the sidewalls and tried to leave while I was gone at school for the winter. They're the only aggressive tire I can find that isn't a damn runflat. I've always hated 589s and Mud Lites because they are so terrible in the rocks and hardpack steep hills. I run with a lot of guys that use them and most try to run them at 1 or even 0 psi. There's a bunch of areas on rocky hillclimbs where they have to winch up, and I can literally stop partway up, help them, and then walk right up with my stock tires at low pressure. Then they get in the deep snowdrifts and dig a big hole and get high-centered. My tires aired down just float along on top. At 1.5-2 psi, these will flex out really good on the rocks, and the 12.5 on a 7" rim isn't going to debead. I've only done that once. I was doing the little bump maneuver over a log about the diameter of my tires. I had the machine almost vertical on...
