Post videos or other sources and discuss. Remember that this is to learn beyond what a few hours in CCW class teaches. One of my favorite teachers on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQgLmQl1zDw
A friend and I are looking to get our CCWs within the next 30 days. Were looking for an outfit that will qualify us on 4-5 handguns each without charging more..etc. Who to go to?
I need reviews of specialty choke tubes for steel shot. Need to shoot 4-T shot for ducks and geese. I'm breaking out my Browning Gold Trigger this year and leaving the auto loader behind. So what is worth the money and what isnt?
Teach the GF how to shoot the Shotgun. We put it on her side of the bed and my 45 keeps me company... Awesome 15 y/o kid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-q2zHIovOE&feature=player_embedded
Well i seem to be into classics for some reason lately :D My new score is a Beretta A-M-301 Magnum I got for $350,It's in mint condition ,,engraved receiver and jeweled loading gate and has Berettas first ever interchangeable choke system(came with F-IM-M),kinda weird but kinda cool in a weird way:cool: The barrel is external threaded and the chokes drop in and are lock-nutted in place also the trigger is AMAZING no creep and crisp,it's as good as any i have on my rifles
I would really like to start loading my own ammo and I have no idea where to start. I have no previous expirience reloading and I don't have any friends that have reloaded to ask. Is there a good book I can get to assist me in getting started? Maybe a class I can take? I will be reloading .308 to start with. I don't need the fanciest equiptment and don't mind buying used stuff to start with. With that in mind, anyone know where I can purchase reloading equiptment at a good price? Thank you
Since we have a current thread about positive experiences with gun shops I thought I would give everyone a chance to voice their full opinions uncensored(good, bad, and ugly)!
While shopping rifles i can across an HK SL7 that so far is CHEEEEAP ,be interesting to see what it goes to,,the only flaw I see is somebody took the front sight of and put a brake on it:crazy: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=186575707
It's been a very long time since I have messed with scopes for small guns. I used to have a decent scope on my marlin bolt action .22 lr, but I got rid of the scope years ago, and I cannot remember what it was. I want to put a scope back on it and was wandering if you guy's could offer some insight on which one to get. Thank you
Can anyone give me some insight as to how long it took to recieve their physical ccw permit from the sheriff...I know they said up to 90 days in the office but I just wanted some more realistic numbers
The guy who bought it has a Las Vegas address,,,FTF is legal in NEVADA if we meet i could sell it to him ,but what about shipping? could i ship it to him legally or does it still have to go thru an FFL he hasn't asked i was just wondering
Not often you see a P-38 around and I did this one for an old WWII Marine. Came out awesome. The steel engraves very nicely.
Here is what I would like to accomplish on this thread, post up about a recent or memorable customer service you have had at a local gun shop. Any negative posts will be promptly deleted. Here are mine so far: 1. Sportmans: A few years ago I was looking for a GPS that could be used for city maps, but also have the ability to show off-road maps. The person working at the desk had very good knowledge about the product lines, and got me a Garmin I-Que M5 that has been perfect. We got talking about my AK, and he hooked me up with some nice mags & bore cleaner. 2. Mark Fore & Strike: Took my Bushmaster XM-15 in for a little upgrade. Service was fast, price was right, and Todd was very professional.
Elko County sheriff’s Lt. Marvin Morton says four people told a deputy they were shooting a rifle in the area and fired at a shiny object behind a bush Sunday afternoon near the Adobe Heights development. The witnesses say the bullet passed through what turned out to be a metal oxygen bottle, which burst and created a white, gaseous cloud that started vegetation on fire. They say they tried unsuccessfully to stomp out the flames then called 911. Morton says the U.S. Bureau of Land Management is investigating the case. He says no names will be released until the BLM decides whether to take any action.
Sooo.... Thanks to a very expensive ex-wife and lack of pay, looks like I'm going to be getting rid of guns. I know there's the trading thread here; but are there any reccomendations as to consignment in local shops? I can't afford to shoot them, so I'm not getting any enjoyment out of them, and though it makes me mad, they gotta go. Fact is, right now most are in pawn. I'd rather make reasonable deals with folks than just give them up for what a pawn shop pays. Other than listing on the thread here, and maybe consigning them, what other options would be good? (I'm not big on selling out of RGJ.) Here's an idea: Remgtn 760 in 30-06, mosin nagant, 44mag ruger, 357mag ruger, savage 22semiauto rifle, maybe a 454taurus, winchester 22rifle, rohm 22, s&w44mag, stevens sxs12g, remg mod11 16g, berthier 1916 8mm lebel, NEF 32mag, colt woodsman. Some come with extras, like dies, ammo, holsters, scopes. Some are ugly, externally rusty (yeah, stored in a barn, litteraly) but all function and...
Ok so if you have a .451-.455 wheel gun and can't seem to get it to group then the deal is to check your barrel and cylinder sizes. Rugers from the 70's on have a bad rap for undersized cylinders. Basicly the clinder resizes the bullet and then into the barrel. A .45 throat reamer is the fix and since I have 3 revolvers that need this I'm probobly going to buy it. Anybody else need this service if I get it? Not free but I'm seeing this service at about $75/pistol said and done so I could do half unless its a PITA. I'm a military armorer with Colt and Baretta endorsements FYI.
I decided this is what i want, anybody have any experience with one??
Don Gustavson is a person we should all consider for the next Senate race here in Nevada, and he is asking for our help in getting a new vanity plate added to the options through the DMV. Was shopping Berettas and ran across this site http://www.valtrousa.com/shotguns.html
i have several .22s and have a 10/22. Looking for something new and have narrowed it down to: A. GSG-5 pro- cool factor, lots of accessories and comes w/ open sites. con- only one mag-- others are spendy B. Sig 522 pro- has the sig name and folding stock
This has probably been discussed before, but I just got this link from the Glenn Beck daily email (not sure if that adds or detracts from the credibility). I've been seeing too many things that I brushed off as paranoid conspiracy theory B.S. actually turning out to be true (ie Obama's back door amnesty) to totally disregaurd this... http://www.nagr.org/UN_lp_survey2.aspx?pid=GB4 Dear Concerned American, With willing one-world accomplices in Washington, D.C., gun-grabbers around the globe believe they have it made. In fact, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton just announced the Obama Administration would be working hand in glove with the U.N. to pass a new “Small Arms Treaty."
beyond total awesomeness, any thoughts on the new Remington SPS 700 AAC-SD? http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/centerfire/model-700/model-700-sps-tactical-aac-sd.aspx Buds gun shop is the cheapest listing I've found but as with everyone else, no stock.
OK, I got blanked in the draw this year, but my daughter that just turned 12 got both a deer and a cow elk tag on her first draw. The deer tag is in Smith Valley with the "Wildlife Management Area" where only slugs in 20 gauge or larger are allowed, but the rest of the area can be hunted with a regular rifle. I have a couple 12 gauge's, and she has a youth size .410, but no 20 gauge (and no slug barrels). I also have a couple regular centerfire rifle's, in 8mm Mauser and 30-06, but nothing smaller. She's 5'3", so all of my guns are too big for her (can't shoulder 'em to shoot 'em), so it looks like I'll be getting her something. BTW, I have 3 girls, the younger 2 of which will hunt. The middle one is the one with the tag this year, but the youngest is really small, and will probably be >100 lbs by the time she's 12 and old enough to draw. I was looking at the Rossi S20-243YMB, the Mossberg 100 ATR Youth with the stacking stock butt, and the Marlin XS7 Youth. Haven't seen any of...

seem the RGJ took the Sheriff to court to have names of ccw made public It was denied and RGJ filed an appeal and won so expect your name in the paper here coming up It should make it easy for criminals to pick their targets,,all they need is your name,,if your a ccw holder move on to the next one I for one will never buy another RGJ
