This Saturday, November 21, our new Reno Chapter of HOPE Worldwide is sponsoring a Drive-Up Coat Drive from 10 am to 3 pm at the new Record Street Shelter in downtown Reno. Gently used coats, jackets, sweatshirts, hats, gloves and other cold weather clothing is needed for those less fortunate. I thought it might be fun to have a Reno 4x4 'unparade' to the Shelter in our rigs to drop off the donations. We could meet in the big parking lot where the Pioneer used to be at Virginia and Liberty at a designated time (11?) and then caravan up Virginia Street, under the arch, and then east on Fourth Street over to Record to drop off the donations. After that we could continue east on Fourth Street and go to Scoopers Drive-In for lunch. I know this conflicts with the Ham Cram on Saturday, so it may be too much for one day. If there is interest, and we do get it together, I'll need to hitch a ride with someone. David's attending the Ham Cram. Another option would be for...

The annual Nevada state fair (or thats what it used t be called) tonight at 7pm holds its annual demolition derby. A great family event. It's going to be chilly, so layer-up! See ya there... mb
I met a few friends from the Bay Area (and a friend who flew in from Phoenix) and we ran the Rubicon last weekend. We went in Thursday night and ran the trail on Friday and Saturday. We camped at the Airport Flat campground the first night and ran the original trail in it's entirety over Geerle Creek to Wentworth Springs, then all the way out. One of the obstacles just past Wentworth Springs Soup Bowl I made it up unassisted (last time I had to take a winch line)
i really badly wanna run bud on sunday.... anyone else down? i was thinking maybe at like noon or after would work for me...

Anybody interested in going someplace on Sunday? Don't know where yet, I'm open to suggestions. Something not too drastic...possibly Jumbo/Ophir to VC and on to Lockwood. Or something North like Dog Valley or Cold Water area. Any ideas ?
Rubicon 20 August – 22 August Left Friday, came back yesterday. GREAT TRIP!!! I didn’t even lift a wrench on the yota. I’m way stoked with it. Everyone’s rigs did great, and having only 3 rigs with us proved to be perfect and allowed us to move right along without any problems. Me and Mick Jager will be running bronco canyon (lower part) saturday night the 28th pending any breakages from this saturday nights twister run. Requirements: atleast 35" tall tires and 1 locker, front and rear recovery points, and rock sliders (you will have damage without them) while this is the minimum I would recommend having rock lights and lockers front and rear. Also unless someone's been through the wooded section after we did a few weekends ago and took care of the branch's expect nevada pin stripping.

I thought I would share some photos of our trip to YellowStone park to deliver a trailer for a customer. I thought it was real nice up there but it rained all night which made a muddy morning of making up gear...not fun...
Just back from 10 days in the Alaskan outback with a bunch of LandCruisers. An incredible trip with a lot of river crossings, glacier wheeling, and fantastic scenery.

Just wanted to start a new thread letting everyone know the event is this weekend. There aren't that many people signed up for the Show and Shine so you if you want to sign up call the store at 828 1500. The prize is a $200 gift card and its free! Sign ups for the RTI contest and show and shine will be open UNTIL 11 am that morning. The event starts at 10, but I would like everyone competing to be there no later than 11 so we can park all the cars and have them numbered for the show and shine and RTI. Voting for the show and shine will be open to the public at 11am.
