I know that a lot of the threads in this forum can get heated because we are passionate about our ideals. We encourage discussion here and know that it can get emotional sometimes because we are all human. Please try to refrain from racist comments. It adds nothing to the debate but ignorance. We have members of many backgrounds on this board and I would hate to see anyone leave due to feeling uncomfortable. Even though this is our little corner of the internet, it is still open to the public. And, as much as I hate censorship, it would be unfortunate for someone to browse this website and come away with the perception that we are nothing but a bunch of intolerant yahoos. I was just watching Scrubs on one of the cable channels, and one of the commercials that just came on was entirely in spanish. Now, that's not a problem, and I don't even speak any spanish, BUT...It was for one of those payday loan companies, and they were advertising payday loans for their customers without even having to present a valid ID. There's volumes to be written on this, but suffice it to say it's pathetic, unethical, and sad that this was even on TV. It's supposedly by Ashley furniture. The photo they showed of the business had the storefront signs all in spanish as well. Aside from the glaring fact that we do live in America, it's unconscionable that there's businesses not only willing to take advantage of legal citizens, but companies which have an advertising budget large enough to promote and capitalize on the disadvantages of illegal immigrants. Makes me sick.

University Police assisted the Reno Police Department with a report of an armed robbery of two UNR students at their residence near UNR on January 25, 2010. The victims were arriving at their residence when a male suspect pointed a shotgun at them and made them lie on the ground. Seeing the recent post glorifying attacks on American soldiers I thought I would take a minute to share my feeling on islam. islam is a cult of death, it does not deserve the reverence it is given by our leaders, the followers of this twisted cult of murder are virtually the sole cause of war, death, destruction, torture, and terrorism in the world today. It is sad that everyone is so afraid of not being politically correct that the truth we all know goes unspoken. islam is a religion controlled by evil forces and its followers are our enemy.
