Year has passed, here are some updated pics. I'm in the middle of transplanting everything over to a TCS Eclipse tube chassis.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. ... The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their consciences.

I went back to a stock chassis. Tuber looked cool, but I suck at packaging electronics in, and I couldn't get it like I wanted. I'll stick with plastic bodies, they hide rat's nest of wires pretty well.

I would like to try one of these chassis in the future though. DNA SSS torsion chassis.

Picked up a ProLine "tuber" shell/body for it. Going for a bit of scale look without getting crazy. Also have a VP Dig unit and Spektrum DX3E remote on order. Pics when I get it all back together.

Just picked up my CKRC Venom and already broke a axle shaft Nice thing about these, is that they are MUCH cheaper to fix than a jeep

It's not as much of a scaler, rather just something little more realistic looking than a buggy with a plastic shell on it. It does kinda look like Avalanche Scorpion and has a nifty space for electronics with a cover for a clean look.
