    I've never had spam...but you guys had some recipies that looked pretty good that had it in it

    It's salty, fatty and taste kinda like ham, do you need to know any more?

    Fry it and serve it with eggs. If you pre-bake some taters before the trip and fry them up with onions they make a great side.

    Chop it up and mix it with a Kraft macaroni dinner.

    Slice it up and make sandwiches with white bread and Mayo. You remember white bread don't you? That's the stuff we ate that tasted, good not the double fiber brown stuff that taste like it belongs under the carpet as padding.

    Spam is the perfect trail food.


    Next week: canned corned beef, hell yes!

    If you are just talking food to have on a trail hike or even a hunt, I go with a summer sausage, crackers, apples, and some spray cheese. It doesn't spoil, is fairly clean and compact, and it stows away easily. It also provides plenty of energy.

    manifold heated food is ok for lunch, but i like to cook dinner out on the trail, it smells great and i like to do it

    One guy did some slow cooked manifold ribs on the Rubicon one time. They tasted pretty dam good for dinner.
