Guys, stop asking questions that have already been answered/asked so he can finish working on it. People here get pee'd off when they feel like they ask Denis a question and he doesn't respond to them, when he does though he's being distracted from the work required to get this done. You have to keep in mind, even if you don't understand how all of it works, this isn't a Windows application on your home computer, what he's doing requires more than just clicking on an icon and waiting for the software to install, a lot more. That's just to get it working to this point, all the customization and colors have to be configured as well, you're seeing the default installation, I also already see several bugs that are going to consume even more of his time trying to get worked out, and that was only in the first 5 minutes of seeing this..

It looks weird, like you went out for a night of binge drinking then just woke up the next morning in a strange house you've never been to before, these feelings are normal, no need to up your meds, you'll get use to it rather quickly. However, a welding helmet may help on the white back ground glare.

i like the new layout and design. i dont really care for the bright white though. its making this really tough to look at.

I didn't mean "shut your pie hole", sorry it read like that. I just seen multiple people asking the same exact questions that were already answered or asked not even 2-3 posts above their repeat question.

I was also just trying to help the few here that aren't computer geeks understand not to panic in the thought that what you see is what you get. A software installation like this on a web server is more complex and requires far more manual configuring than just installing a windows application on your home computer, it can take days easily, longer still to get all the bugs worked out and fixed.

To answer your question about your saved link to the home page, there's no reason that link would change from what you have saved in your favorites. The default location for any home page on any web site is always traditionally http://www.reno4x4.com/ so nothing would change there, any other links you have saved, like to the direct forums should remain the same as well, if not it can be easily changed on the server to redirect you to anywhere automatically.

Yea I am finding it kinda hard to see as well! I liked the black back ground much better. I do like the new lay out though except the smileys don't seem to work and some of the buttons are a little screwy. I'm sure they will work it out though.

What you should be very happy about is he didn't loose all of our user names and old posts, I've seen that happen before and it makes for very unhappy members.

OK...I'll accept that this is just the beginning and it will be fixed and improved upon. for the record, I don't like it like it is so I'm waiting for the upgrades to take effect.

I don't like... a) the color white b) the avitars are smaller c) the type is much smaller and hard to read d) only some smileys work e) no homepage.

Having said that, I'll shut up and wait to see how it turns out in the next few days. And all *****ing aside, Thank You Denis for trying to make our forum better.

why is my screen white and not the nice lovely black that i had it set to? is this going to be changeable anytime soon and why cant i have access to go to home on the form? or how do i change it in the settings if its available? actually the home link is gone never mind the home part.

trust me I didnt take it like that I was just trying to be funny either way although i wasnt happy with the change 1) i cant ***** cause ive been scabbing 2) it forces us to figure out a way to find a way back ( over come and conqure ) isnt that what wheeling and being offroad is about? Ill be happy mostly when the white screen is gone ( and no I havent checked to see if I can change it but I will ) Anyways im happy to be a part of this site . Just my $.02...

I don't like the new layout. Even the reply section is screwed up. Used to be able to post a reply and everything was right there now you get quick reply and if you want the smilies or other featrures you have to click on advanced. No good. I'm getting tired of hearing just be patient.

I liked the reply options like they were myself. It was cool to be able to use the quick reply and see the post you were replying to right there, people just needed to have a chance to get use to the better change, or use the options they liked better. Now when you hit the only reply to thread option it quotes the last post, fix it back please, he'll get use to how it was. They'd like that feature if they gave it a chance to get use to it. Now we're back to having to open replies in new tabs to switch back and forth reading and replying, or constantly scroll up and down.

The touch of light grey in the background now is much better, takes the glare off, thanks, before with the white and my big monitor you could probably see my screen from space it was so bright.

When are you going to want the bug list I'm seeing? Like the scroll bar for the text boxes don't work in IE8, and the page [1] [2] [3] thing mouse over functions backwards, that last one continues to screw me up.
