Yea I'm not sure I went to ckrc once and they let me drive one of the cars down there for like 20 mins I think it was a axial. I used to have losi nitro trucks and cars and they were always solid. Just go down and talk to those guys see what they suggest, tfab has a axial body replica of there buggy also right? That'd be sweet

went down to CKRC before class and checked out a couple crawlers. Looks like I'm prob gonna go with the AX10 RTC. Lots of aftermarket support and a good name behind it. I might order it off CKRC today once I figure out what batteries and charger I need. Any suggestions?
Go with RTC, I got ARTR and it was close to $500 once I got it set up. I have spent more since then.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. ... The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their consciences.

also, instead of buying a charger would that batterie's 4 hour quick charger work with any 7.2v battery i bought or is it based on mAh?

what about the Redcat RS10? Dual Steering, everything including battery and charger included for about $160 with free shipping
http://www.ampdraw.com/product.php?u...roductid=14116 try the losi night crawler its a great rig out of the box or a venom creeper. go to hobbyking.com for the batterys and charger the turingy chargers are $30 and a set of 7.4v 30c lipos will run you$12 each the shipping is high but if you go in with someone the cost is really low. pm me you number if you have question. i haveover 2k in rc cars its a fun but expensive hobby.
For a crawler the 1500mah batteries are more than enough. I can get up to an hour and 15 minutes run time off of one charge. For crawling you don't need high mah batteries since you are drawing power very slowly. Also the high mah batteries have a higher self discharge rate and if you let them sit too long they could discharge so low they can't take a full charge.

AX10 w/ batteries = $270-280 shipped
Creeper w/ everything = $288 shipped
Creeper is metals
AX10 is plastics
