Well that's cool. I have that Specturm filter and it's really good. I noticed Kragen's had one just like it for I think $46.99 and I got mine at Pepboys for like $26.00. Unbelieveable difference in prices. Too bad Pepboys is all the way down on McCarran and Virginia and I'm out here in Fernland.

Well hopefully Tuesday or Wednesday I will be able to take some pics of the completed set up including heavy duty terminal blocks and the isolator. I just purchased 10 ft each of red and black #4 wire and will be hooking up the quick disconnect to the aux battery for my hitch mounted winch. I'll bring it through the grill and put it on a disconnect switch. That will be my first aux 12v connection. I will also be putting in a triple or quadruple 12v socket for whatever I might want to run and I may hard wire my 700 watt inverter so I can run my puter and maybe the pump to inflate my blow up doll....oops I mean my pancake compressor.

I really want to take an across the desert trip to Gerlach/Empire this spring/summer some time but have to be sure I can manage everything I need and the junk is good to go.

    FINALLY!!!!!

Finally got 'er done today now all I have to do is start hooking up accessories...radio is in. Pretty clean set up I think.... for a dummy.

BTW- Fired it up and ran it and nothing blew up, overheated or caught fire so I reckon that's good.

Hey Zip, there is a Pep Boys on Prater way, between Pyramid and McCarran in Sparks, that is closer to you that the one on Virginia.

How short can i make something like that intake? Would it be possible to just stick the filter onto the throttle body on a 97 2.5l?

Actually all I did was pull off the stock flexible pipe and add that chrome tube and the filter. It just worked out great on my 5.2L. Just had to drill the PCV tube hole in it. Best place to look at all that stuff is PEP Boys. They have a whole shelf of just air filter parts.

So all the accesories run on the secondary battery, which can be run completely dead while letting the original battery power the vehicle as usual? Awesome!

Where did you wire the isolator relay to now to correct the check engine light?

Yep it is kind of cool not having to worry about maybe being in some isolated spot overnight and running a few "appliances" and still being sure you can start up in the morning.

I didn't change the wiring. Apparently when I first wired it the computer saw the extra draw as a fault and threw the code. I just had the person that checked the code reset it and it's fine now. No more engine light.
