I deleted it, as I stated in the first post if it gets off topic I will remove the thread. The topic was NHP out and about giving tickets, not about our local LEO's.
So I ended the thread my thread my choice.

yea i have an update. got pulled over this morning on the way to work doing 38 in a 25 and was let off with a warning and told to have a nice day. It is amazing how many times that has happened to me. First time I have been pulled over in more than a year.
whats next.....I see a thread asking "hey where did that thread go that was asking about that thread that was gone?"

I agree it was a good thread, more interesting than most. there were well formed arguments and it was not off topic or disrespectful at all. But the poster has the right to delete his own thread and kiss a few boots along the way.
I just wanted to make sure no forum rules were broken.

well just wanted to chime in on the highway patrol nonsense. so today i get laid off from my job out in g'ville, and on my way home i got pulled over in washoe valley, the 70mph zone. what was my ticket for you ask?.........................I recieved a ticket for doing 75 in a 70. He called it rural speeding. wrote my ticket for 5 over. it was a whoppin' $25 dollar ticket, with no points on my liscense. but 5 over in washoe? WTF?

You admitted to doing 75 in a 70! Whats the problem here if you are gonna break the law you need to be ready to pay the consequence for your actions ! My theory is if you dont give them a reason to pull you over they wont.

you guys sound like the same anti-gun anti-constitutioners that are in office right now. i was expressing my anger about a no point off licsense, $25 dollar ticket. and people have to pull the whole "you admitted you pay the consequence" i wasn't complaining about that one bit. my complaint was that they have nothing better to do than pick at the measly $hit in the world. not worried about getting the illegal workers gone and putting those of us who are laid off back to work or anything like that. or the car full of..........ya not gonna say it that pass me with 3 more people than seatbelts in the car..... it was a point statement about NHP thats it. the only day i didn't drive my BII that can't do 70 thats the real problem! LOL

Technically he cut you a break by writing you on Rural speeding, since 395 through Washoe is not technically rural, just ask the nice ladies at the counter when you go in to pay your fine how often they see a ticket for Rural speeding in Washoe Valley. The last one may be mine from about 7 Years ago when I got wrote up for the same violation. In my case I got reported by the plane as doing 82 When I got pulled over I knew I was speeding, (I had the cruise control set to 77 and told the officer as much). He basically told me that if it was solely up to him I would have gotten off with a warning, but since the plane nabbed me he had to write me for something and he chose 5 over, Rural Speeding so there was no points and no insurance reporting. When I paid the ticket, the lady at the clerks just laughed and told me I got off easy and she had never seen someone written for rural speeding on 395.
So long story short, he did cut you a break, as he could have written you for much larger fine.
Sorry to hear about your layoff, hopefully you'll find another job soon. What kind of work did you do here in G'ville?
