Just today I got everything finished and went for a test drive with the new engine. I know most guys prefer a V6 swap to
supping up a 4 banger but I didn’t feel like going threw all the hassle of finding and fitting turbo 350 or 700r4, possible drive
shaft shortening, relocating the exhaust, trying to locate and squeeze in a larger radiator, all the new wiring for the fuel injection,
and fighting with cramped spaces when ever I have to fix a part; not to mention the 22r is simple as hell to work on compared to
the 4.3 in my s10 blazer.

It’s a 2.6L stroker kit from LC Engineering “a lot cheaper than buying one of their already done engines.” All the machine work was
done by Douglas Machine Shop. 94mm Forged CP Pistons, Chromoly H-Beam Connecting Rods with ARP bolts, Clevite Main, Rod & Thrust
Bearings, Mild cam 2WD or 4WD Carb/EFI (1200-5000 rpm) Valve Lift 440 Advertised Duration 280 I also cleaned up the intake
passages and did an at home valve job.

Pretty good I just have to do some adjusting to the carb its running a bit rich. Except Its a bit hard to test it at full throttle with the roads still icy.

I know, but I just wasnt felling black. Plus I plan on painting the truck yellow some day so I thought the two colors would look good together.

    Steering Pump

I just installed the Trail-gear Rock-Assault Steering Pump Kit. Everything fit perfectly except for the reservoir bracket which only fits 84 and up Toyotas so I had to make a bracket to mount it. Another down side is that it is a little noisier than the stock one but it flows four times the amount of the stock one.

Part of your pump noise problem is the pinched suction line. Hope you fix it before you run it too long, your going to burn up your pump.

you didnt hook it up to your stock cooler did you? Not a good idea, More flow = more cooling needed.

Just the pump but when I upgrade to the hydro I know I have a pump that can handle it.

I fixed the kink problem just after taking the picture so that had nothing to do with the noise. I called trail-gear and they said thats normal for those pumps to make a little more noise than stock ones.

Na I got the after market cooler that came with the kit. I just hooked up the hose to the old one to take a picture because it was getting late and I was getting tired

the truck is amazing bro, good job on the work. We worked hard on the power steering pump, works wonders man, and the cross over steering that Dr. Smash did is amazing, it handles like a dream now! Good Job
