Seems like finding them is fun. But what is the best way to hide one, and have people know about it?

It's pretty common for people to start out wanting to hide a cache right away.
My advice is to find a few first and see what type of cache appeals to you.

Dry Creek Map is one of mine. I made it because the location is pretty and overlooked by most people.

I also have Buck Island Lake, it is in a remote location that requires a modified 4WD or a long hike to get to. The location also provides a beautiful over look of Buck Island Lake.

Rusty's Revenge is, IMHO, a cleaver idea I had for a cache container. Again the location is pretty scenic.

You may have spotted a trend in my hides. I love finding caches that are in scenic locations or take me to an unexpected pocket of beauty so that is the kind of caches I have placed.
