    Pop-a-lock kits.

When someone calls a lock smith to open their car, where do they buy their lock picking tools from? Schools for that sort of thing?

X2 loves In fernley sells the kits! They have 2 different versions, 1 for $9.99 and 1 for $14.99! Anyone can walk in and buy one and put it in your car! If you have the kit on your car and 2 or 3 stereos then you'll have a problem.

if you purchase one legalally, ie at the truck stop, keep it in your toolkit like your ammo cans, i can almost guarantee there will be no problems. if you have it tucked under your seat or on the back seat or something of that nature, your asking for trouble. but just to have it in the tool box is fine. JUST AS THEY COULD CONSIDER A HAMMER, SCREWDRIVER, SOME BAILING WIRE, SOCKET SET, OR ANY TOOLS IN GENERAL MISCHIEVIOUS WITH INTENT TO DO A CRIME!

The law is the law so there is always a possibility of getting crap for it. I would tend to agree on it being a law of circumstance. If you happen to have a lock out kit in your tool box and are doing nothing wrong I doubt you would be charged for it. If you are wearing all black clothes, have a ski mask in your pocket, and a slim jim stuffed next to your jimmy, you will probably have a bad situation on your hands. I could care less though cause I have my ASE card so screw 'em.

just because you can walk into a store and buy it does not mean it is not illegal, its a slim chance you would get caught with it, but if you happen to be "helping a buddy get into his car that he locked the keys in" and a cop or security cruises by you could be in a world of trouble if you are not in the trade. or say you get a DUI or get arrested for any other reason , cops search your car for their "inventory" there is a lock out kit in your trunk, you gots some splainin to do. . . .
