So finally got it dialed today. The brake rotors were pitted and sanding them did nothing and the pads were getting glazed. 100 bucks later and new rotors Viola! no chattering brakes. But now im set back in $ dept for the lift as I still need 300$ for shocks.

Put in a sweet console and a new battery. The battery is a
Braille battery 850 cca with 150 minute reserve capacity and it's specified at 13.8 volts and the meter says just that. I am going to run 2 of them with a 12 volt guy harness. I also upgraded all the battery cables with 1 gauge welding cable and copper lugs.

Looking around the junkyard today for axles for another project and I found a sweet billet grille. It replaces the junk rusted out tube one I had on there.

had to do something with the rear shocks as they were getting hung just driving around town. One of the rears was starting to leak and the mount was being bent down. So I put a 1 inch block in of solid aluminum that the spring pin goes thru ( like a zero rate). Then I put in some Aeon rubber springs for bumpstops with solid aluminum spacers. I had a pair or 10" bilsteins and they fit just right and now the rear has a bunch more droop. I'm going to put in some 10" bilsteins in the front with a special mount from the stock shock hanger. I still have to extend the proportioning valve arm so the brake bias is correct. The little side road that I bomb project trucks down at 50 mph to test em out was a 20 mph in the burb before with some hard hits underneath, now I can do 40 comfortably with no hardness at all and it will just get better with the front bilsteins.

also started making the interior a little more camping freindly in the back. So being that this is not pheonix I didnt need the rear air conditioning unit I need the headroom. I found a sub with the same color interior and switched it out. And a pick of why I like the burb so much room everywhere even under the rear seats.

Eric, that mounting setup for the axe/shovel is perfect. Like the way it is coming together, you should name it "Macguyver" because it has everything.

Got the dual batteries done this evening at least the tray anyways. The coolant resivior had to be relocated 1" further back on the wheel well. I took a stock tray and modified it to fit, massage the inner fender a little, and make the hold down. So thats 2 Braille batteries for a total of 2800 HCA and 270 minute reserve capacity.

To bad I didn't realize sooner that you were doing dual batteries. I have a drivers side tray for the dual set up.

here is some progress on the front bumper. Its 2.5 x .188 sq tube and the rest will be plate. I went old school for the bumper to stay in the lines of the truck.

its as high as I could get it without totally relocating the factory oil cooler. It will have a skidplate and will be one of those things that I wil not bash with impunity.its only 1 inch lower than the leaf spring mounts.

I dig it!! Lines of the square bumper look great against the square body of the burb. Can't wait to see this progress.

Where did you get your Braille batteries?
