I saw this.... Almost every "new" Jeep is "bad" to a lot of reviewers. I personally am happy I have an older gen Jeep

It's probably badly scored based mainly on poor fuel economy

No, for the Jeep Wrangler fuel ecomomy was not mentioned: "CR criticized the vehicle’s harsh ride and handling abilities, its braking, wind noise, access, driving position and visibility, seat comfort and its fit and finish. It was also cited for inferior accident avoidance abilities and for being a poor overall value."

I personally bought my JK for the wind noise, harsh ride, and its fit and finish. It wouldn't be a wrangler otherwise.
A money pit aka as decently built 2007 Jeep JK Unlimited with a lot of goodies.

If it didn't score poorly on ANY consumer reports type of rating system it wouldn't be a Jeep.

    at least not a wrangler...

Obviously they're just panning a few of the body on frame vehicle left. They based on it Consumer Reports. They probably think the Honda Ridgeline is a good truck.

Wtf is accident avoidance? All I know is if you get in a major accident in the escalade, dodge ram or wrangler your ass is probably gonna walk away from it.

Yea my fj has a 5 star collision rateing and rides like a caddy. It sounds like they put a bunch of city slickers in some of these autos and expect them to handle like a sports car Really Really

I'm confused why Tahoe/Yukon is on this list when consumer reports has it as best in class for large SUVs. This list is garbage at best

    So... what's the problem?
And the watchman told... and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously.

Whenever you consider whether a vehicle is a "good car" or not, you have to consider what it was made for. If you are looking for fuel economy, easy to park, suburban comute vehicle a "Smart Car" might be the best choice. If you carry a lot of cargo and people and don't care that much about economy then maybe a SUV would be better. You have to consider the usage. For the taxis, the company chose the Toyota Scions. Aside from the fact they probably got a good price on them, they are easy to get in and out of, lots of leg and head room, and not too bad on fuel. Good taxi, but I wouldn't buy one.

I think they are still upset with Chrysler because of the K-car...lol That is the only viable reason 5 out of 10 on the list are from the Chrysler corp.
If you lead, they will follow.

Consumer Reports has NEVER written a favorable review of a CJ/YJ/TJ/JK. As mentioned, their reviewers don't like the wind noise, the harsh ride, blah, blah, blah. Remember, those folks live in or near the Big Apple, and they're clueless when it comes to 4 wheeling. They like cars that do the driving for them. To paraphrase Enzo Ferrari, if you want to tour in luxury on pavement, buy one of my cars. If you want to see the countryside and out-of-the-way places, buy a Jeep.
