I hope I don't get banished for 1. tooting my own horn, or 2. Posting this after only being a member for 1hour, but...

    Peabody Fleet Painting Inc.

    Sparks NV 89431

Sandblasting, Painting, Autobody, Bedliners, Fiberglass repair, etc. We're basically an autobody shop for Trucking and Industrial applications but we have some useful services for Off Road rigs too: Colormatch your new bumper/sliders/exo, Sandblast that Dana60 you're about to rebuild, Fix that fiberglass fender you cracked at Moonrocks, refinish your rusty hauling trailer, paint your toyhauler etc. Frame off resto? let us sandblast it clean and paint it with our ultra tough urethane Frame Black. We are primarily set up to paint "big things" so we can easily accomodate your RV, hunting trailer, etc.

The shop has been in Sparks for almost 15 years, same owners but under new management. Stop by and see what we can do for you. Ask for me personally, John. Mention this forum when you come in for a discount.

Thanks for letting me post and for welcoming me to the forum. I apologize in advance if I have overstepped my newbie-status bounds.

X2 on Douglas Auto Machine; they just finished the machine work on my Dad's 350 and so far it has been a pleasure to reassemble.

I'm looking for an independent Toyota shop. There have been a few shops listed, but they were not specified on what type of vehicle they work on. I could work my way down the list, calling each one, and ask, but i'm hoping someone could give me a few places to check first? Thanks!

Dr. Smash down in Carson would be my recommendation for Toyota-specific work.

Anyone have any experience with Precision Auto Center, 41 S. Wells? I stopped at the shop today and spoke with the manager. He seemed knowledgeable and experienced, but the schedule book was pretty empty. I know we all like to get our problems taken care of quickly, but he had whole days on the calendar that had nothing scheduled. In fact, I scheduled a coolant flush for the 6th of October and that whole week was blank.

I left home (Quincy, CA) and forgot to take a list of some of the names mentioned here. I wanted to check out Martin's, but completely forgot the name and location.

Martins Auto service is awesome. I would take my trucks there anytime. The shop cares more about solving your truck problem instead of getting you out the door charging money.

I just had McVeys do mine front to back. No headers but he makes his own Y pipe. And it sounds good.

I had good luck with Adams High Rollin Custom's over in Sparks. Had them fix the pump rub failure on my 01 Chevy for a fair price. Very busy shop but everyone there is very friendly and knowledgeable. They do everything from basic repair/maintenance to full custom builds. And I've heard Adam is great with diesels too.
