Why can't the permit process be like in Colorado? You pay the fee online and they mail you the sticker. Done.

I hardly use the trails in Nevada. Mostly Oregon and California. Renewal is easy every year but I do feel my money is just going to support a government machine. Not for my betterment. Getting an Oregon sticker is still easier at 20 bucks for 2 years. That is the route I am going again. Sorry nevada.

You can do this as a NV resident and be good here?

I'm pissed we still can't register them for regular road use like utah and arizona. Its stupid considering most of NV is small towns.

From what I remember dmv did not want any part of an ohv registration. It was the local ohv dealers who pushed for this so buyers no longer went out of state to buy ohvs. Started with the tax sticker and then This was the compromise.

This is where we were at last year. This year I've noticed they at least have applications for grants. Weather or not they actually give that money out and to what cause, who knows! I sure haven't seen any improvements in the long while they've had to do so something.

Yep, so here we are now. Buy out of state anyway, not register. Pay no taxes to the state and give no money to these dealers here. They're not all bad but still, not going to play that game.

I wouldn't be so opposed had this not been started solely to reign in on the taxes AND if I thought that they'd do something with the money, something useful, all over the state.

I was originally on board with the idea that the money would improve riding areas in Nevada. So far I see most of the grant money is going to education and studies. It sounds like we are helping fund our demise. My quad buying days are over but if i was still in the market the dealers here would have to understand we are not a captive market and acually deal. If I can buy out of state and pay my tax directly to dmv for less i will.

I'd register mine, except I can't find the Vin, ride all over my property and to neighbors, or local BLM areas except the occasional wondering where I wind up in Dayton, Wellington, Carson, etc.
Don't see the need for it except the $ going to fund cement curbs where they aren't needed.

I went to get vin verified at washoe sheriff but they didnt have anyone available, they said if I waited an hour for the next shift, someone could do it. Plenty of cops just standing around. They recommended me the dmv, ha

There is a person named Mike there that is helpful there tho, think he works the later shift.
I seen allot of un registered bikes, do they even enforce it?

WCSO came out and did my vin inspection. The ohv dealers do the inspection for a fee. When I got my inspection the sheriff told me they don't have time to enforce the registration. I am guessing that has not changed.

I've only seen cops out there for dumping and shooting problems. Saw a blm person on a dual sport bike once, but think he was dealing with trash
