    Beautiful country up there in the Lakes Basin. I have wheeled all over those parts and it's breathtaking for sure.

    truth be told-- that was in like 2001 or so long before there was a gate. the narrow road was pretty pucker factor with off camber snow drifts right at the top...


    where is jose jalepeno? went by RV and they said he's not there anymore...

    andUPS just dropped off more parts... its getting close. rear air suspension assist, spin-on fuel filter and other goodies...

    How is the access up to those lakes? Could a dodge 2500 extra cab cummins make it there with out it getting beat up?

    come over packer saddle and deer lake is easy. or from sardine lake one may drive--slowly-- to upper sardine. that is t he middle lake shown in the above pix -- lower sardine/sand pond, upper sardine and young america lake.
