    Sunday run 11-24-13

Lousetown to Lockwood...via the back side of the hills. Head east from Lousetown Rd. and 341. From there the trail will head over the hill and down the backside toward Dayton (but not that far) and back up the other side. When we come back up, we'll join with Long Valley Rd and head toward Bronco Canyon turnoff. If some wish to break off and run Bronco, that may be an option. Continue up to Lousetown rd and out to Lockwood. This is a stock capable run with some areas of loose rock on a hill and some minor rock ledges to climb.

Meet at the 7-11 on Geiger Grade at 10:00 We'll take Toll Rd up the hill and be at Lousetown turnoff around 10:45 if anybody wants to meet us there instead.

    Hmmmm...no responses ???

Would you all like to do something different instead? Like maybe Vista to Wadsworth with a stop at the arrow ???

Let me know what you all think.

Busy weekend for a lot of peeps. What about snow run? I'm probably not going to make it, but there might be some nice snow this weekend.

I think the only place we'll find a snow run this weekend would be on HLT. Not much lower down and melting fast (however melted snow makes mud !) Unless we went further and deeper into the Sierras.

LOL I wanted to lead a run on the Flume Trail and when I mentioned it to you-know-who, i got the chilling, 1000 yard stare that means, translated: nope.

maybe in a few weeks we can do that fun, local trail.

Never been on a run or anything, but a sunday afternoon run (maybe 1pm for a start, back by 4?) for a stock rig would be perfect for me. Of course it might not work for anyone else

The Sunday runs usually start around 10:00 AM and run about 5 to 7 hours long. How long it takes to run a trail is often affected by the "multi-rig factor". The more rigs, the longer it may take.

We ran dog valley to Verdi Peak and Crystal Mine today. You could make it in a stocker on street tires, ie. not much snow left....

Thanks Will. I'd rather wait until there is at least 6" on Dog Valley Rd. to make it interesting. May plan a trip over the top of Peavine in the near future.

Hoping for a decent turn-out in the morning. 10:00 at the 7-11 on Geiger. Head up Toll Rd and be at Lousetown turnoff at about 10:45 so you can meet at either place.
